Great value for money, even though we booked a smoking room, the rooms was so clean and didn’t even smell the smoke in anything, the room was not expensive at all.

Excellent hotel! We booked a room with a private onsen and had an amazing time soaking in the warm hot spring water :) The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and even helped us to get to the Snow Monkey Park on our first day there. The breakfast and dinner service was also a real feast! We loved every minute and hope we can come back one day :)

Extremely nice ryokan. We were picked up at the station and taken to the Monkey park by the couple owning the ryokan. They then brought the luggage back to the hotel. We had lunch at Enza café next to the monkey park. Very nice meal and apple icecream. We were a bit worried that there would be no monkeys but the place was full of monkeys of different sizes. Amazing to see.
We would recommend the kaiseki meal for yen 6000 per person in the evening at the ryokan. It was not just a meal, but an experience. Also nice onsen at the hotel. The one with a view is the best of the two. Private use. Breakfast was great. We were dropped of at the station by the owners of the ryokan.
Very friendly couple. We also forgot a cardigan which they informed us of and then sent it to us to one of the next hotels on our trip. We would definitely go back!
