The room was really clean and nice.
There was a free bath downstairs.
There was an information sheet they had printed out in English.
The breakfast was really good. I especially loved the cheese tofu, it literally melted in my mouth.
It is also right across from the station it is a little close. May be a bit hard to find since it is a new place and a foreign country, but not too far away.

Take note of the carpark if driving. The carpark is a multi storey block behind the hotel. Only available from level 3 onwards. We parked at level 4 and fprtunately there was a lift that brought us to level 3, which is the street level leading to hotel. Hand over the parking slip to hotel upon check in, pay 500Y and they will exchange another slip for you.

I nice city in central Ibaraki.
I nice city in central Ibaraki. Good restaurants and in summer the lake and park are excellent. The stores around the main station are interesting and will appeal to a wide range of people and there are many good hotels near the station.

There are a lot of attractions around or nearby Mito.
There are a lot of attractions around or nearby Mito. The only problem is many of them are difficult to get to. Even the ones that are not too difficult to get can be difficult in terms of distance or a lot of waiting time for buses. Each time to take a bus, you would expect to wait for a least half an hour to 1 hour even for sight-seeing tourist buses. Also, as JR pass would not work for buses, you would expect much higher traffic expenses compared to visiting most of other places in Japan.

I love the park and the lake.
I love the park and the lake. Especially in Spring it is a fantastic places to be. The city does not get the recognition it deserves.
The Art Tower and the associated compound is a great source for modern exhibitions. The Museum of Modern Art is also a great location.
It is very close to the ocean, with great sights to see along the ocean.

Nice place to stay a night at a cheap cost.
Nice place to stay a night at a cheap cost. I mostly visited Oarai and took the bus or the train, but for some roaming around before starting the day it was interesting. There are some spots interesting to see in Mito.

This is a beautiful area of Japan to visit with many beautiful gardens and a variety of things to do. I spent an afternoon at Fukuda Kilns and was able to make some pottery which they will fire and mail home to me. The Shinto shrine on the ocean was beautiful. There was so much more I wanted to see and do that I will have to return and spend a few more days.
Good value hotel well located close to the JR Station, Kōdōkan, castle, shops and eateries. 2.5 km walk to Kairakuen. I had a spacious corner room with city views. As well as the comfortable bed there was a large desk, lounge & 2 chairs, small table, small tv, fridge, ample storage. There wasn’t a safe. Good bathroom bench space and nice long bath; basics like combs and razors available in the lobby. Pleasant and convenient!
The location is very handy for the train station and stops. Car parking at the hotel is easy to access and reasonably priced. Breakfast tries to cater for all (European, Japanese and Chinese) and on the whole succeeds. A friend successfully used the gym (the hotel will lend you trainers for this. Staff try to be helpful and are generally successful. Cleaning service very good.
Hotel is located near to the Mito Station, less than 5 mins walk from the station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr Yutaka Oouchi and his colleagues at the front desk who helped us and showed us how to navigate the Japanese GPS in our rental car. The room we booked was clean, spacious and comfortable.
It's our favorite room so far - beautiful and very spacious, calming green color for decoration.
The hotel is so close to the JR station, which is very big and have lots of shops and restaurants. There's also more restaurants and karaoka on each exit from the station.
The hotel staff were great, and we had a great time :)

An excellent example of high-quality services. It has clean rooms, everything is functional, and a beautiful river view. I was staying here during the Mito festival, and I was happy I booked my accommodation on the other side of the station, which separated the lively atmosphere of the festival from my resting space.
It was good experience in this hotel. Good well come drinks with varieties of soft drinks and alcohol. Helpful staffs and clean and attractive rooms .we had booked room with breakfast and I was amazed of their breakfast system. It was out standing. I enjoyed a lot.,☺️
It’s such a nice hotel. It has hot spring, and it even opened until midnight! And breakfast amazing, so many choices. Location good too, just across from the train station. We drove there, and it has free parking right next to the hotel. Nice stay!
The host was extremely kind and welcoming! The hostel is in a good position, not far from Kairakuen, and with many services to spend a nice time at the guest house. It was clean and in good condition. Totally suggested for a stay in Mito

Large rooms, nice and quiet. Location is perfect. Beautiful hotel. Good atmosphere. The staff at the reception at Check-in was friendly and spoke English which was convenient.
The friendliest staff ever! This is my go-to stay in Mito! Love that the arcade and movie theater is right down stairs. The staff even gave us extra pillows.
