It was very well located for visiting Kurashiki. The staff was extremely welcoming and the facility was very nice for the price. Great choice!
We later stayed at a more charming space inside the historic district, which was lovely, but for the price, we were happier at Kokusai. Next time we’ll stay there again.

The hotel staff was friendly, and accommodating, and the hotel itself was located near everything we wanted to see and do, so we didn't have to walk too far. And although it was a central part of town, it was quiet.

Location is veryclose to historic area and shoet walk to train station. Very comfortable bed, wonderful outdoor onsen, delicious breakfast with plenty of variety, yummy midnight noodles. Enjoyed complimentary juice at arrival and post checkout luggage storage.
Originally built in 1889 as a red-brick cotton mill, this historical hotel is just 984 feet from the Bikan Historical Quarter. It features 2 restaurants, a bar and gift shop.

The location & staff are excellent, the rooms are tiny, for travellers it was exceptionally tiny and awkward to manoeuvre bags, find somewhere to put them and move in the rooms. There is about 20cms between beds.
Finding light switches also very funny, it’s a puzzle.
The laundry is great and appreciated.

We loved Kurashiki. The historical quarter is so pretty with the gorgeous canal and its boats, along with the streets of former rice storehouses. The old town is quick and easy to navigate and there is so much to do! We also loved exploring the shops and enjoyed a delicious meal of Bukkake udon, a local specialty. Would highly recommend a visit here. Note: The Momotaru “Peach Boy” Folk Museum was great for our 10 year old daughter and fun for us too!!

Fabulous historic quarter with about 300 original old buildings - many storehouses. Beautiful historic canal and many tasteful souvenir shops. Very interesting collection of western art in Ohara Museum.

Cute place for a day trip, or a one night stay. If you travel off season, know that the boats are only operating during the weekend. No need to spend a lot of time here, you can see most sights in a few hours. Nevertheless, a beautiful city with an impressive historical center!

From the moment we decided to stay at Temari Oitoma Inn and booked our stay there the process was seamless. So, we were off to a good start and our good luck continued. The inn was close to Bikan Historical District, less than a 10” minute walk and there were many good restaurants and shops in the same area. There are many fun and interesting things to see and do in Kurashiki and we could have stayed there another couple of days. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Super cute city.
Super cute city. You can stay half day, but fyi the station near the old center it's 1h away from Shinkansen stations. If you arrive (very) early go book a boat trip along the canal at the turist center

Kurashiki was a major disappointment, a Disney-fied "historic" town that has sold its soul to tourism - restaurants offering the same dismal fare, trinket shops, soft ice cream outlets galore and mobs of tourists lined up outside same. You can walk it all in about two hours, including your break for ice cream. Put on a straw hat and take a ride along the 200-meter long "canal" to "partake of the history". Yawn.
Definitely not worth the time when Japan has so many much better places to visit.

The location is conveniently located across from a large shopping center with a supermarket, which made it easy to stock up on food and drinks, and about 1.5 kilometers from Kurashiki historic district. We arrived by car, but the apartment is also close to the station if you are arriving by train. The main reason we rented the unit, though, was to take advantage of the washer/drier halfway through our trip.
Friendly stuff and cozy lounge area! Thanks for helping me to rebook my dinner reservation :) Room was well equipped and good for a night or two. Toilet was very clean and well equipped although it might be a little cold in the evenings haha. The location is right around the corner of the Kurashiki historical area although the walk to the station can be quite a hassle (highly recommend taking the bus).
Amazing location, great restaurant just across the road if you come out of the hotel and turn right. 8 minute walk to very beautiful historical district. Short walk to JR station. Best hotel Onsen of our whole trip! Breakfast is ok tried once, didn’t love it. Great size room; two windows one opens. Plenty of space for luggage.
The room is spacious and tidy, it's about 2 2-minute walk after getting out of the Kurashiki station. The staff is very friendly, especially, Haruka from the front desk is easy to communicate, and provides a great service.
I recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Kurashiki.
The staff is very helpful!
We actually book the same hotel in らしきし Kurashiki shi ; but accidentally went to Okayama hotel . a gentleman in reception helped a lot and assistant is to cancle the booking in Kurashiki. Great service
