Salò is a nice, walkable town, close to other towns on Lake Garda. It’s a stop for several ferries, so you can visit other towns on the lake without driving. The lungolago is beautiful. You can walk the entire length of the golf of Salò.

Salo is a lovely town on the shore of Lake Garda, from which there is an excellent ferry service allowing access to most towns around the lake while an occasional service takes visitors to the private but beautiful Isola di Garda. The promenade is extremely pleasant on which well-dressed local people stroll. It is fringed with a range of restaurants to reflect all tastes and pockets. Narrow streets and alleyways and pleasant squares link the promenade to the town itself, which has a wide range of retail opportunities, an excellent museum, cathedral and other attractions that make it an interesting place to while away a day. Many people say that it is quieter than more 'touristy' resorts on the lake, and that suited us well. Of course the views across the lake to the distant show-topped Monte Baldo (accessible by cable car from Malcacene) are stunning, and the mood changes often depending on the weather. A decent sunset illuminates the mountain tops, often wreathed in cloud, in a stunning display of colour. A perfect place.

This property has everything a family could want, it’s on the 3rd floor but there’s a lift available if needed, it’s a stones throw from waterfront with plenty of restaurants to choose, there’s a mini supermarket 5min walk and bus stop is 10 min walk, only downside there’s no air con, would stay again.

Ideal location close to the lake and restaurants. 3 bedroom Apartment was very clean and facilities were in good working conditions. Parking ticket was given for a close parking lot.
The only thing to take note is that wifi was not very great and sometimes experienced poor internet connect, but it is not a deal breaker as we did not stay much in during the day. but this is something that can be easily improved.

It’s a very pretty lakeside resort with the most beautiful rustic buildings to discover via the narrow cobbled streets . Good selection of shops from designer clothing to tiny authentic coffee shops , deli , souvenirs and a pharmacy .
Excellent range of restaurants offering great value and local dishes typical of the area . Very friendly locals . Lots of areas alongside lake to sunbathe albeit on pebbles so take some thick soled diving shoes if you want to have a swim in the lake as you will find these pebbles tricky otherwise .
Lots of facilities for wheelchair users .
There is only the central car park which allows overnight parking all other parking areas are restricted to 8/9pm but a space can usually be had unless a specific event is on . Summer months will give you the opportunity to experience wonderful music events .
Boat trips are available to take you to other resorts around the lake but these are very basic ferries and journeys can be long .
Few English tourists mainly German /Austrian who do seem to take over restaurants /sun beds etc but it’s lovely to be amongst the locals and shop/ restaurant and bar staff are very efficient friendly and helpful .

It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy.
It is a pleasant town, which is a bit touristy. But you can find small oases where the local kitchen prepares magical food. The lake is lovely to swim in. You can quickly get to know Saló, but there are so many other excursion destinations that you can supplement your holiday with.
The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Manuela had thought of everything and was excellent at communicating all that we needed to know before and during our stay. The views from the top bedroom are beautiful and the location of the apartment is perfect - just a few minutes walk from the waterfront and Salo is a really lovely town and great base from which to explore Lake Garda and Lake Idro. We'd certainly stay there again.
excellent location just a few steps from Lake Garda - we have had a suite room with own balcony, which was great, and I can truly recommend this room option to others as well. Direct - amazing view to lake Garda from our bed. Breakfast was good with enough quality options. We had a car - parking was arrange couple hundred meters - cost for overnight was 12 Eur.
The hotel is located at the end (or the beginning) of Lungolago Zanardelli which is perfect for a pleasant stroll on the shores of the Lake Garda.
The room was spacious for 3 people, and the bathroom was a must !
Breakfast was delicious and buffet-style.
If you come by car, book in advance as there is a parking lot not far from the hotel.
I loved the property, smart living, well maintained with traditional decor yet modern equipments, Amazing view! incredibly nice host!! I checked out and checked in again a day after because I couldn’t feel as comfortable as I was at the property. If i ever plan to visit Italy again, this place will be the first to visit and live in!!
Delightful family owned hotel. Room was comfortable, with a partial lake view (as expected). Good and comprehensive breakfast. Exceptional cooking in the evening, together with a good wine list. Wonderful lake views from the dinig terrace and garden. Easy 5 minute walk into beautiful Salò.
Very well located and very clean and comfortable. Owners were so friendly and restaurant was one of the best in Salo. It was so good that we ate there both nights. No living room area but that was ok. Charming inside and outside dining areas right on the lake and in area of many shops.
The staff at this hotel was EXCEPTIONAL. They provided excellent service and support in a friendly and very personal way. In fact they functioned as an A-1 travel agency, always there to help and suggest best option in exploring beautiful Lake Garda, Verona and Brescia.
comfy room, very big shower cabin and clean toilet. the bed was super comfy. the staff was very professional and the breakfast was good with plenty options. the hotel is two minutes away from the lake and a few minutes walking to the center
This was one of the best hotel experiences. The staff really understand great service. the hotel itself is the perfect blend of history with modern conveniences. I felt like a famous Italian film star staying at a small 5 star hotel.
Easy Check in, super friendly host, perfect location for people who like to go out for a drink later in the evening. It’s located directly in the city center of Salo, so it’s perfect to just walk literally everywhere!
The Hotel is located directly in the heart of Saló, a beautiful and more relaxed town than other cities at Lake Garda. The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were well equipped and very cozy!
This hotel is great value for money. It was centrally located, clean, the staff was exceptional and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend this property and will return again!
