It is hard to describe how amazing this place is. From the outside it looks like another building in Rubiera, but once inside, it is transformed into first class Swiss establishment. The furnishings look new and are well thought out. Breakfast was great. Finally, our host Nadia was very attentive to our needs. Calling this a B&B is not giving it the credit it deserves.

This was obviously a top class hotel but needs some tlc, having said that the room we had was fabulous, some of the plumbing was a little tarnished but everything worked well and the room/bed was very comfortable and clean, the bathtowels were soft and fluffy and although we used this for an overnight stop it was ideal

The hotel is easily accessible both by car and by walking from the train station. The staff were friendly and polite, they took care to make sure to show us what we needed and went the extra mile by arranging transport for us after a concert at the arena in Reggio Emilia. Breakfast was simple but good it consisted of croissants, cereal and various juices.
Its cliche but also very true that Ermellina (and Francesca and her family) are home away from home. Ermellina is an amazing hotel, with very spacious comfortable room and amazing hosts (the best part) that can help you navigate through Modena region.
Definitely one of my best stays in Italy, strongly recommend it and I will definitely be back!

But didn't had availability for our rooms so we just fitted in 3 single rooms , which are not so so good as the other rooms, but they were OK.
We will go back for sure!
If you like these old style hotels, with analog phones to call the reception, with tranquil room colors and with very comfortable beds as I do, this hotel is for you. As a bonus comes also the excellent breakfast from their Michelin restaurant. There is a possibility to park the car nearby.
It was not only the hotel it was the whole experience, it was all perfect starting from the service, through the comfort, design, even the smell! :) You can see the passion and heart put in this place. I strongly recommend!
