Riva del Garda is now one of my favourite places in the world. Beautiful scenery with hiking opportunities for all levels of fitness. Food and wine amazing. The ferry is a wonderful way to visit various other nearby towns around the lake. Easy walking town.

Fun walking the boardwalk along the lake. Rented Hobie Cat near the hotel, lots of fun. Lake gets really windy in afternoon, excellent sailing/windsurfing, etc. Restaurant at hotel is exceptional. Walking distance to center of town. Really nice place. Highly recommend it!

We have visited Lake Garda many times and have stayed predominantly in Riva which is our favorite of all the other locations around the lake. As Riva is so accessible to other places like Verona and Venice it’s an ideal base for travelers. The fact that you have so may activities at hand if you’re into walking, sailing, cycling etc you certainly won’t be bored! it’s a fabulous place to visit and absorb the atmosphere whilst admiring the scenery which we love so much. I look forward to my break every year and of course the cuisine and wines on offer are fabulous. I would highly recommend you visit this wonderful place.

Riva del Garda made a perfect base for exploring the area. It's a very walkable town and had great beaches and a brilliant pedestrianised area for the evenings with loads of restaurants.
We enjoyed exploring the different eateries, and there's so much variety - we never had a bad meal, but I would say the restaurants on the front have the best views, but the ones further back had slightly better food!
I'd recommend taking the ferry out on the lake - Malcesine & Limone were great trips to do from Riva del Garda, but personally I would drive to Sirmione if you can, as the boat there/back was very busy and took forever!

Lovely little town set between the lake and hills / mountains. Lots of restaurant options (we didn't have a bad meal while there), cycle paths, trail walks etc. and the option to take the ferry to Limone, Malcesine etc. The street entertainment in the evenings is good, singers etc. The whole family really enjoyed it.

The breakfast is a kill. Very nicely stocked buffet to start the day on the right side. Quite conveniently, it runs from 7:30 to 10:30, so pretty nice for early birds as well as for big sleepers.

I would certainly stay in that hotel the next time I am in beautiful Riva del Garda.
The room/apartment was more than adequate. We didn't expect an apartment but that's what we got. The Kitchen however had no cutlery or crockery or utensils of any kind. This didn't matter as we weren't prepared to use the kitchen anyway. The location of the hotel is superb. It's elevated position means a pleasant 10 minute walk to town. The choice at the buffet breakfast was superb as was the pool area. The view from the restaurant/bar area of Riva del Garda takes some beating.

This hotel exceeded our expectations, to be honest. The location is perfect, the room is always very clean ( special thanks to our cleaning lady ), the view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. Breakfast is good.
We also liked soundproof windows & balcony door ( as outside it can get pretty load due to park, beach and a playground for children )
I wish we had stayed in the old town in the north east corner of Riva del Garda. That is mostly where we spent our time. We live in Florida so didn't spend a ton of time sunbathing/at the lake etc. Its only a short less than mile walk on a gorgeous water path. If you are looking for a quiet location away from the old town and directly across from the lake, this is it! The view from the hotel was gorgeous!
Very big room with balcony. Biggest plus in this hotel is pool with view to mountain and Riva del Garda city. In this hotel is very friendly staff. Parking is free and don't need reservations and parking is lot of places for your car. One of best place inside in this hotel is restaurant, prices in is very friendly and foods quality is very good. The breakfast is delicious, and a very large selection.
We enjoyed the space we had for our family of five. We were across the street from the hotel, in one of the Apartments they have in building next door. It was well equipt with everything we would need. Had a full kitchen and two balconies. The location is right on the lake and easy walk to anything in town. We also had our own parking space. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
It was not my first time in Riva del Garda. everytime we try to find the perfect spot with the nice view and Maso Tobel Riva del Garda won everything. The owners are incredible! They are very friendly and know your needs before u ask them. They are their guests oriented. The breakfast and the Lake View Cottage was exceptional - having the extra space with the patio and kitchen really made the stay very nice. The location next to the lake and close proximity to the city center made the stay very nice as there is much to see and do in the local area.

1 km from the hotel there is a gluten-free Bakery. Riva del Garda even in March a lot of people, you will not park in the center.
