The hotel was simply superb, from the staff and accommodation to the exceptional breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and surrounding area right across from the Royal Palace of Savoy and its gardens. This was, by far, the most luxurious, opulent hotel we've ever stayed in, but with a very unpretentious, homey and welcoming feeling. As if you stepped back in time, but with all the modern amenities you could ask for. And Monza in August has just the right number of tourists to be interesting without being crowded. Only downside: we missed the Formula 1 race by a weekend. But all the more reason to return to this quaint Italian city and one-of-a-kind Hotel de la Ville Monza!

Lots of space and amazing amenities! The bed was comfortable, and we made use of the table to do some work as well as the balcony at night to enjoy some wine. The kitchen was very handy too, especially with the inclusion of a coffee pot, and we enjoyed making use of it each morning.

Pedestrian streets make strolling around very pleasant. Many churches worth visiting with the Duomo an outstanding baroque gem. Good restaurants and easy transport connections with Milan, Lake Como and Lecco and Bergamo. A day out in Varenna is worth considering - on the railway line from Monza and connected by ferry with Bellagio, Menaggio and Cadenabbia.

Very pretty with lots of great restaurants, easy to use trains to visit Milan or Como. English is not widely spoken but we got by using google translate. visited in July and the mozzies were a problem

Monza is such a beautiful city!
Monza is such a beautiful city! We didn't expect it to be this big. There is so much to see there. We were quite surprised that the Autodromo di Monza is free to visit (you can walk through the tribunes but not the actual race course).
Downtown Monza is very historical with many shops. We also managed to be there at the time of the Saturday Market which was a great experience as well.
The people there are also incredibly friendly and helpful.

Excellant location for the Monza F1 Track but you will need...
Excellant location for the Monza F1 Track but you will need to get a taxi from this hotel unless you are prepared to walk 3/4 of an hour then you will need to walk to get to your seats within the track. Loved the town, it was better than we anticipated for choice of bars/restaurants. Beautiful shopping and even has its own cathedral. We loved San Paolo Piazza but I expect there is so much more to explore. The Train station is within easy walking (20mins) which will get you to Milan in 15mins.
We staid for a few days. The room as the rest of the Hotel was very clean. CThe location is great, about 10-15min walk to the station as well as the centre. Communication with Luca & Barbara was easy and prompt. The Breakfast was great with home made bread and freshly made eggs etc to order. We would definetly stay again.
Wonderful location, beautiful view from my window, clean and cozy room, incredibly friendly and attentive staff. All my family and I needed for a pleasant stay. We stayed to attend the Monza Grand Prix - therefore the price of the hotel was exceptionally high during the weekend as opposed to prior and after the race, however; the hotel was in a fantastic location, friendly and accommodating staff and the room comfortable with all the necessary amenities.
The host was super, really attentive and responsive. The place was clean, compact and just what was needed. The host provided lots of information about the neighbourhood and in reaching the F1 circuit.
Decor just amazing, so classy and beautiful!
Beds in my list of best ones I slipped in hotels and I have stayed longer than planned so tried 3 different rooms and all awesome!!
