Buttrio is considered the symbolic heart of this southern region, where the breezy, mild effects of the Adriatic create an exceptional microclimate ideal for winemaking.
Buttrio is otherwise famed as the headquarters of the global corporation Danieli Group, a global leader in providing equipment for the metallurgical industry. The hundred-year-old company, situated across from the hotel, is responsible for the project. Although the hotel’s location may not be spectacular per se, a stone’s throw away from the humming motorway to Udine, the architects used the space elegantly, turning a potential weakness into a competitive advantage. Once you set foot in the hotel, you will find yourself in a parallel world that pays homage to the area’s rich history. By the end of your stay, you will be positively impressed by the location. Hotel del Parco n 1citi bling their sister restaurant is real GEM go there and you feel like at gourment paradise.
Agroturismo Vagabondo n 2 , rural charm at season you feel,the power of milions lavender flowers,at there,they sale the lavender products too.

Buttrio is part of famous Friuli region , where you can find hundreds of winey yards with solution for each taste and budget , plus hand made salumi a formaggi and you are at culinary haven.
If you have the change, go visit the locanda of the Castello do Buttrio, Right above the Agriturismo. We had the degustativo Menue and it was divine, woth every penny. The main house is getting a pool this summer, which you will be able to use also as a Agriturismo guest. The little house is also beautiful in winter and has a communal space with a wine fridge and fire place. We had a lovely wine tour with the owner of the winery and got to taste the exceptional process and work that goes into their wines.
Excellent hotel on great location if you want to visit this part of Italy (Udine, Miramare castle, Trieste, Grado, Aqiliera, Palmanova), everything is max half hour away from the hotel. Staff is exceptional and breakfast is great also. Rooms spacious and very modern, bigger and better then in pictures. Hotel has its trattoria in Buttrio town, food is just perfect, highly recommend everything!
The hotel is super modern, it is new and the styling is beautiful. The room is spacious and comfortable, everything is so nice, clean and styled. The breakfast was outstanding, although the Buffet was closed, the variety and quality of the food was much beyond our expectations. The staff recommended to have dinner at their restaurant which was fantastic and really exceptional.
Everything, especially the fantastic breakfast options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is exceptionally clean. It was the most modern hotel I was ever in. Being older, it took me a while to get used to all the high tech but I managed. It was very useful to have a hairdresser and a supermarket right next door.

New hotel - only a few years old. The rooms, breakfast area and reception are low key and modern. Great location to visit Udine, Palmanova, Trieste, Slovenia and the area in southeastern Italy!

It has been our 4th stay at "Castello di Buttrio" and as always it was very pleasant. Cosy beds and a very nice breakfast in the garden. Make sure to have dinner at the "Locanda".
