Beautiful Seaside town, Extremeley friendly and helpful people. Even when language was a barrier they would find some one or we would use translate. Even bus drivers and train conductors were so helpful.

We found the best hotel and also a bar/restaurant where we had drinks and dinner down on the beach directly on the sand.

Anzio is a quiet beach place with nice restaurants, a port , nice little shops and the historical ruins of Nero's palace at the sea. 50km from Rome it is the right place to stay if you would like to combine Rime visits and in between some beach breaks.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid.
A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey.
There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines.
A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

Pleasant surprise!
Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.

It’s very cozy elegant and very comfortable apartment. There are two floor, very comfortable kitchen, new appliances, pretty view from balcony!
To the beach 2 minutes. Located in central walking street. Opposite entrance supermarket, fruit-market, cafe, pizzeria, good cloth - shoes- shops.
Anzio is friendly town with friendly citizens!!!
Host Francesco is very positive and nice guy. Helped us in everything)
- Francesca and everyone else on the staff were mega friendly despite the language barriers.
- Breakfast with a view (including yoghurt, juice, coffee, cereal, pastries and toasts)
- Access to the beach, and what an amazing beach! Watching the sunsets there made us fall in love w/ the place.
- Seems far away from Anzio's city center, but you can easily get to Anzio's port and Grotte di Nerone just walking.
We had a very good time at B&B Vittoria. The rooms are very modern, comfy and clean. We also had a little balcony. Located in the small town of Anzio, it is just a 5 minutes walk to the nice beach at the ruines of the Villa of nero or just around the corner to the city center. The owner is very welcoming and nice. She also gave us recommendations for Restaurants and activites in town.
We have spent a lovely week in this faboulous house. We enjoyed the great location, within walking distance from the beach and close to the train station, therefore connected to Rome. The house is clean and cosy, we particularly liked the well equipped and efficient kitchen and the huge table in the patio to enjoy al fresco dining. Highly recommended!
Very good location convenient with car, free parking area, very hard to find in Anzio, few minutes walking to the centre and to the beach. Very quiet position. Very good breakfast with lot of choices. Very welcoming host, he gaves us advices for the beach, told us we could leave the luggages and use the toilet before to leave.
Breakfast was nice service was friendly and accommodating. Balcony rooms over looking the sea were wonderful. Spacious rooms, reasonable bathroom size. Without a car it was a bit difficult getting there. Came by train from Rome. Local train station was a 15 minute walk. Beach across the road was great for walking.
I became ill in Italy, cut my trip short, made a last-minute reservation at Barbara's B&B. Ended up spending four nights in bed. She made my stay as comfortable as possible, including getting some medication from the pharmacy for me. I will be forever grateful.
Beautiful location right on the beach. Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Lovely Dining room .Beside a beautiful town Nettuno worth driving 15 minutes
Nice restaurants there
Cool place. It was off season so many places not open
A beautiful, clean apartment, with access to the beach, a roof terrace, and safe parking. Gabriele left us a little gift, as it was my girlfriend's birthday, and recommended some excellent restaurants nearby.
Wish we stayed longer than 1 night.
The location is quite nice and not far from the train station. The hotel itself is cozy and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly. ANZIO town, where you can hangout, is about 25 or 30 minutes walking
