The city has high air pollution.
The city has high air pollution. It is the gateway to all the prominent northeast locations. Not a city worth taking a long halt. Two nights are decent enough the leave for shillong or Nagaland. Take a tour to Brahmaputra river front.

A very lively and bustling city.
A very lively and bustling city. Not too crowded like other Indian cities, with a population of around 1.50 million. Friendly people, good mobility options, some very picturesque locations within a range of 40 kms from the city. And, did not find too many beggars on the streets. Sensible driving . Most FoBs have escalator facilities motivating pedestrians to use the foot over bridges. Something other bigger cities need to emulate.
Drove around 500 kms in Assam. Was amazed to find most towns and villages garbage free.

Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India.
Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India. The main town of north east India. The connection with rest of India is preety good. An international airport (LGBI Airport), Two railway stations (Guwahati and Kamakhya) and a Bus Terminus. Construction works are preety slow. Travelling through the cuty might be bit time consuming becouse of slow buses. But in recent times, this has improved a lot. For rest if India, Guwahati might appear to be bit slow but the hospitality and honesty of local people can win hearts of many people. So do visit Guwahati if possible.

Excellent host and an awesome experience with Queens residency staff and team. So polite and energetic team ready to answer any questions and services. Food was excellent with homely taste. I have stayed in multiple hotels in Guwahati but Queens residency was the most memorable in terms of pricing, food. I really did not wanted to checkout due to the homely feeling there. Highly recommended to family and solo travellers. Most importantly it's located in a good location and away from pollution and all. Keep up the excellent work.
It’s a property with some history, having been built by a local literary man. So it has some character versus the many anonymous guesthouses and hotels in Guwahati.
While the rooms themselves are not up to western standards in terms of amenity and cleanliness, at the same time it’s not too expensive.
Nice breakfast, good location, a pleasant garden buffering the street.
The manager Rajib was really helpful. In terms of getting me a sim card, and he had contacts enabling us to get inner line permit and organize a trip to Tawana
Hotel Spring Brook is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Guwahati. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable furnishings and a modern bathroom. The staff were courteous and always willing to assist with any needs or questions I had. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a great selection of items to choose from. I would definitely stay here again!
This is my 4th backpacker experience and honesty speaking I had an amazing experience staying here. The hospitality and services provided by the people here was top notch. If you are a solo traveller , you will have a good time connecting with the other people in this cozy place. Will surely pay a visit next time when I plan to come to guwahati.
Firstly, the apartment was beautiful and cozy. It instantly felt like home. It was spotlessly clean.
Also it's very private and there's no disturbance.
It has everything that we might need for our stay. It also helps that it's located in the heart of the city. Overall a 10/10 experience and I will book it again the next time I visit guwahati.
Everything was good.
Every morning national indian light breakfast.
Outside in main road too much noise but this is everywhere in India. Mintu with second man pay attention for all things. Near hotel city center. Highly Recommended this hotel for tourists. From hotel to Guwahati Airport by taxi takes 1 hour.
The breakfast spread is excellent and has a lot of options. However, they did not have the options for vegan milk. They could do better in meeting dietary requirements (to better serve those with any food allergy). The rooms are clean and spacious. Overall, a very good place to stay in Guwahati.
Lovely property in the centre of Guwahati, on a quiet and secluded lane. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities and more. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Guwahati.
This is so amazing Hotel room in this property. I would like to thanks the reception members. They are so friendly. Their facilities, food delivery, bathroom, etc all are so good also need and clean......At last Thank you ❤️
The hotel was great. The room was one of the cleanest I've stayed in India. The location is very local; there's not much to do, but if you are a foreigner like me, it's kind of nice to observe a glimpse of local life.
Location and cleanliness and helping and supporting nature of staff . They help us to carry our luggage to room. Really next time if visit Guwahati love to stay here again if possible.
The best homestay I have ever been to. Can beat any star hotel in the fields of cleanliness, hospitality, service and mouth watering food. If in Guwahati, stay here.
The room was tudy and clean. The food served was tasty. The staff were courteous and soft spoken. We enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. It is good for family.
Staff behaviour is very nice and helpful, also the property is the same as shown in photos. So it's best option if you are planning to stay near paltan bazar.
