This business runs by a family that also living there .
So it just like we are staying with the lokal.
They grew some berries,corn, edamame,etc around the property and we get a chance to enjoy them.
There is Warung bu Widi close by that serve delicious Indonesian foods if you need lunch and dinner.

Great city to visit if you want to hike up Gunung Ijen for sunrise. It's an icnredible hike, not too difficult, with some of the best views we have seen in all our 8 months travelling Southeast Asia. Banyuwangi was a very clean and friendly city with lots of cheap restaurants and we felt very safe walking in the evening. Stay at Snooze Ijen if you visit here!

There are lot of beautiful things there in Banyuwangi: wonderful Mt. Ijen with one of 2 blue fires in the world, many beautiful nature both mountains, waterfall also ocean nature and savannah, cultures, traditional music/dances and typical food, etc.. etc.

There are plenty of lovely places to visit in Java and Banyuwangi is not one of them. However if you drive 30 minutes into the mountains there was some lovely homestays with views of the padi fields and dense forest which I would recommend.

Banyuwangi is one of the best place to be as it is not crowded like Bali or Jakarta or Bandung or even Surabaya. It is an underrated tourist destination which is more relaxing with much cheaper hotel rates and food. You can find Rumah Apung Bangsari, Bajulmati Reservoir, Baluran National Park, Savannah Bekol, Bama Beach, Kawah Ijen Sunrise, Blue Fire Crater, Jagir Waterfall, De Djawatan Forest, Mongrove Swamp, Mustika Beach, Pulau Meran Beach Sunset, Gandrung Dance and many more.
There are plenty of hotels and home stays and a heaven for culinary. It is the place to be and not in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak. Look for something different. Come over to Banyuwangi.

Banyuwangi just like a lite version of Bali and Java.
Banyuwangi just like a lite version of Bali and Java. Lot of thing you can do in here, hike mountain, got relax in beach, local food (mostly my favorite is pisang goreng), etc. There was lot of helpful person who helped me reach to my destination.
Nice place, bamboo shower is good too but of this hostel is one of my best it's because Amina ! She is very lovely, always helping you if you need something, share the dinner with us, and take care of us, she is the BEST ! About the price/ quality it's definitely the best one in banyuwangi.
You can also rent a motor bike and the mask for kawa Ijen ( for nothing compared to the other place) from the hostel.

Cozy homestay in Banyuwangi, perfect for a few hours of rest/sleep before you Ijen hike. The rooms aren't huge, bed is a little too springy for me, but it's enough for a short rest. Showers are hot, even in the middle of the night! Also, the owner can help you book the Ijen tour as well, so you don't have to find another agency to plan it for you, let the locals do it :)
Oh yes, and 4 beautiful cats (or was it 5?) really does make the stay much better.
The hosts were really helpful! We booked Gunung Ijen group tour here, and the tour was great with reasonable price then tripadvisor.
The woman host was like mom, kindly asking our plan, recommended places, and helped book buses as well!
I can't miss mentioning about breakfast. The food was really delicious. We went to more expensive hotels and we couldn't find better tasting breakfast!
With this price and service we're very satisfied.
We love everything from this hotel. Plenty of light in the room, view from the balcony was great, and their food, not many options, but are delicious. I enjoyed most of my time on breakfast time, sipping coffee and seeing the landscape from the distance. I have no complaints.
Services also excellent, we rent motorbikes during our stay and their staff treat us the same as other guests who maybe brought their car.
If you are a solo traveler who likes to meet some new friends, this place is perfect for you. The host was so fun, friendly, and helpful. You'll definitely enjoy having a chitchat with them. They made Banyuwangi feels like home :) also they can arrange some interesting trips for either solo or group traveler at affordable prices: Ijen crater trip, city tour, coffee making trip, beach trip, national park trip, etc.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs, they were phenomenal. The pool and surrounding views were breathtaking and we were very happy with our room and it's views. Would absolutely recommend, it is perfect for visiting Mine Ijen and the blue flame, and you will be hard pushed to find a more stunning location for a hotel.
The room is great for the price, it has everything you need. It's just a minute walking from the train station. The hosts are really nice, they helped me book the Ijen tour, they also rent me a scooter and even have a warung with very delicious Javanese food. Fully recommend staying here during your stay in Banyuwangi.
Obviously, the location „in the middle of the rainforest“ is the hotel’s main attraction, and it does indeed deliver on that. Despite that everything is being kept as clean as possible around the hotel area.

the view of this hotel towards 3 mountains (mount ijen, mount roar, and mount pendil) is extraordinary. the design of the resort is also very eco friendly. we stay at 103 room, the room was the perfect place to get superb sunrise. the breakfast so great, i cant forget the delicious taste of their frenchtoast
The staff was friendly , the room was large enough , the food was great , the swimming pool was big , they had kids playground & swimming pool , the scenery of the hotel was wonderfull , this is another option if u feel the dialog hotel was to expensive , this hotel are cheaper than that
We had such a wonderful experience! When we arrived at the hotel, they gave us a free upgrade to a villa (from the junior suite I booked originally) and it was fabulous! The staff, the service, the food, everything was world class! We are so grateful and we highly recommend it!
The staffs are very helpful and easy to communicate with. I had a trip to mount Ijen that I need to leave at 12am. They helped to pack my breakfast ahead(my booking includes breakfast)
The hotel is also quiet, not bothered by the Ramadan mosque sound.
