The reception, restaurant and cleaning staff are all genuinely helpful and exceptional. They care about their guests. The breakfast was well prepared, and the staff was constantly monitoring whether you had any additional needs. Staff spoke various languages and engaged with guest but were not intrusive in any way. If you wanted to chat they spent more time with you, if you wanted to eat a quiet breakfast they were also sensitive to that. Do not disturb signs were adhered to and there were no loud noises. Room temperatures were comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel has a great location and superb breakfast (on the weekends) because on Monday we were the only guest. Breakfast was still good and plentiful but the buffet style on the weekend was also pleasing to the eye. The room was nice and good size.

Nyiregyhaza is a very nice 100K citizens Hungarian city. It's very clean, you can see that it's been taken good care of. Nice parks, sculptures, a mixture of cultures, great places to hang out or to go out for a portion of great food and drinks. It's also a university city and has a great zoo on the outskirts of the city. I'd say that it's also climatically and geographically situated perfectly well - just 2+hrs from Budapest (by highway), the nearest airport is in Debrecen which is some 80 km from Nyiregyhaza, neighbouring Ukraine and Slovakia (literally an hour's drive to each of the above mentioned), Tisa river is near, lots of water and forests. In general, it seemed to me that people of Nyiregyhaza are very happy with the place where they live in.

An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people...
An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people are kind, attractions are great. Huge outdoor park spa with indoor kiddie pools and other specialty ones. Animal park is huge, has elephants, giraffes, a restaurant, petting zoo and an oceanarium. Lots of fountains all over town, lots of ice cream and the streets are clean in general.

The city center is not very interesting.
The city center is not very interesting. It's classic small Eastern Europe city and 3 hours is enough to see it all. Nyiregyhaza has great thermal spa, thermal lake and zoo, which I think are it's main attractions.

A clean city with some excellent attractions on the out skirts. Highlights included the aqua parks (Decent size, clean with plenty to do), the zoo (Lots of animals, well kept and a good day out), the tree climbing adventure park and the restaurants. The prices are good value for money and the portion sizes for food are very generous.
The City was quiet given the amount of shops, and getting around wasn't a problem. Best learn some Hungarian, as half the places we visited couldn't speak either English or Polish.

Calm city , with some interesting sights. Zoo is one of the most popular one in Europe. Thermal spa in Nyiregyhaza is very popular as well. Salt Lake of Nyiregyhaza (Sosto in Hungarian ) is very nice place.

As first-time visitors, with an eight-year old child, we were pleasantly surprised how safe, calm and clean town it is. Found people to be very kind, smiling and looking one straight in the eye with a sense of small-town curiosity, but not at all offensively - it showed honesty.
We all loved the spacious squares, the abundance of fountains, ample seating, old shade trees. They sell some great artisan ice creams, even in gluten-free cones.
Loved shopping for specialty foods. Check out the crystal shop downtown!
Have a cup of coffee at Szifon Espresso Bar.
Location. Close to all the amenities, Aquarius, playgrounds, restaurants. Meatology delicious food, breakfast was served there as well in the form of menu and it was delicious, better than buffet breakfasts. Delicious coffee:) another restaurant La Terrazza- serving real Italian pizza. We had biggest room in hotel, with huge balcony. Our Aquarius passes were included in the stay- it was pleasant surprise cause I didn’t know there were included. We will definitely come back :)
great hotel, it looks like it’s new, and everything would be fine, BUT!!! There was no minibar in the room or just water to drink. I’m sorry, but this immediately ruined the whole impression... there was no breakfast, neither in variety nor in taste... By the way, neither the pool nor the sauna are open 😥, until spring... then please indicate this in the offer... I left in upset feelings... For 108 euros per night I didn’t matches!!!
This was just perfect. Clean, spacious, comfortable, lovely garden with hot tub and sauna and outdoor cooking facilities. Eszter our host was just lovely, and drove us to the local shop when we arrived so we could stock up in essentials, and also gave us a lift to Nyiregyhaza train station when we were leaving, saving us having to haul our luggage about on public transport. Absolutely highly recommended, will definitely return.
Location is very convenient, located right behind a Penny store. The train station is also close by. The parking is very easy and complimentary. The host Marti is very nice, very professional and very helpful. We will stay in her property next time too when we are in Nyiregyhaza. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our 10 days stay. Thank you so much for everything Marti! We will be back for sure!

There are 2 buildings (one for 4star hotel and one is 3star pension, if I understood this correctly) Just for your info.
But both buildings looks beautiful and price is equal for what you'll get.
Breakfast is smaller but offer everything you need and it was delicious ;) I would only add a nuttella and more vegetables :)
It was great that we had unlimited entries to the zoo during our stay. The apartment was very large and although the furniture was old, it was fully functional and it was comfortable.
Right next to the hotel, in the forest, there is a nice playground for the children.
The hotel staff was very helpful whenever we needed.
The Reception staff is exceptionally professional, kind, and helpful. The hotel is very well located as we wanted to be in Sóstó. It is next door to the spa and the zoo. Breakfast is varied, savory and sweet. I would surely come back to Fürdõház! Thank you for your hospitality!
The hotel is in the middle of a fishing lake, excellent view, you could see the fishes jumping in the lake all the time, very relaxing. Very good food, especially the dinner, the stuff is very kind and courteous. The spa is not big, but more than enough for a boutique hotel.
The staff was kind, we've appreciated that the waiter was really knowledgeable and offered different really clean options for my wife - being gluten intolerant.
It was also nice that we could cool ourselves down in the pool of the hotel after the hot summer sightseeing...

Staff attitude was excellent. The closeness of hotel to the zoo makes it a perfect choice if you want to visit the zoo. It is a fair deal, value for money.
