The city is pleasant for everyone who wants thermal pleasures, peace and relaxation. Heviz is also a very clean city. The thermal lake, churches are also worth a visit... My personal opinion is that most of the restaurants are lower middle class. We ate at Magyar csarda, where the quality of the food was appropriate for the price. A bit disturbing is the overabundance of Thai massages.

Heviz is a quaint small town imbued with a serene wellness ambiance, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to unwind and immerse themselves in relaxation. One can leisurely stroll through the nearby park, soaking in the natural beauty, before indulging in a soothing dip in the rejuvenating thermal pools. While my time was primarily spent within the confines of the hotel, venturing out for a leisurely walk provided a refreshing addition to my wellness weekend.

The Hévízi Tó is a unique thermal lake, with a beautiful old "swimming house. If you are somewhere around Balaton lake it is worth a day tour, but some more days are great for perfect relaxation.

In february its calm, and not to many people.... If you would like moor to look or roundabaut, better to take a taxi, or a car. Dont like to foot , in the near , You can visit Keszthely , or The Balaton-see...... THe food as well, and we hve in Hotel any possibility.... I, and my hospand are olderly guest, we cant not well to foot.....
We have visitet the ruin from romers, Churchs and museum Heviz....
make a littly trip to Balaton....
I think to have a car wood be better....

Relatively quiet town (I visited in mid-January) with lots of green areas. From all the languages I speak (EN, DE, SI, HR, FR, RU) in the end Russian and German were the most usefull when interacting with the shopkeepers and waiters.
The lake / spa is really quite unique- there are not many places where you can freely swim around a lake in the middle of winter (-4C outside T). Fair warning though- the thermal water has a quite pungent scent 🙂.
Quiet, clean, comfortable, great location. What else to wish 👍😃 nice room and big bathroom, very clean. Great balcony for evening relax with wine. Aircon, nets in the windows, so no bugs welcomed in your room :)))
A bit small place for parking, but great is it is just 5 minutes walking to Heviz lake, area around is like from movie about a spa city … beautiful. Shops, restaurants, parks and streets for strolling
Generally people here doesn’t speak English, so be prepared and learn some Hungarian or German words :))
I have never experienced such a bad thing at a rented appartment, the appartment wasnt really bad but the host was a complete disaster, she bothered us al the time wining about things that werent true, she also let us pay €10 more. She said we made a mess of it but when we went inside it wasnt a mess and she was wining about some unwashed dishes, she also told us to leave at 8:30 altough we booked untill 10:00, she had no respect for us and doesnt deserve to be an registered host at booking.com
I think this is the best hotel in Heviz. Hotel is just a step away from the Heviz lake and city center. After a renovation facilities improved. I liked also welcome drink and free parking. Spa in Carbona hotel is amazing, especially roman hot bad. I have been in all hotels in Heviz and I am sure that is the best option when price is not too high. Staff is very friendly and the offer you towels and all things at each step. Parking is safe and close to the hotel entrance.

We stayed at the annex, the Kalma Villa that was super nice! But first we checked in at the hotel itself and did not like the room offered, it was different than the pictures at booking. The kind management than solved this and changed us to another room, and we really enjoyed our stay. Location wise you can not wish a better situation, just a pleasant walk to the lake and spa facilities.
I liked the apartment very much, it was in quiet part of Hévíz, in a walking distance to the center and thermal lake. The hosts very very nice, very helpful, breakfasts excellent and delicious. In the room there was everything I needed, clean towels provided twice during a week stay, welcome fruit bowl and water. I enjoyed the stay completely.
The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and at a great location. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and helpful. We had a delightful New Year's Eve celebration and everything was organized at a high level. We particularly enjoyed the spa area and the versatile options it offered. A great experience - highly recommend!

Excellent hotel. Very clean all the way. Lot of additional content next to the regular hotel room. Wellness facility is very nice and also very clean. Breakfast and dinner were great. The hotel is in a very nice location, really close to the thermal lake. We are very satisfied with what we got for the weekend.
Exceeded our expectations. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both really tasty with a wide range of food. The spa is good. The thermal lake is a short 10 minutes walk away, but one can get the same water in the hotel's spa.

We had perfect time in Heviz, staying at Yowan. It is in perfect location at middle of everything. We stayed at top level. Air Conditioning was a plus for middle of September. Free Wi-Fi. Walk to the lake about 15 minutes, no rush. 10 minutes to the market and grocery store. We enjoyed there.

The place we stayed at had everything you could ask for. It was close to the Heviz lake, it had free parking, the room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and even gave us some apples and homemade cakes on the check out.
The location of the hotel is great. A five minute walk to the lake. The hotel is old, but clean and comfy. Granny's house vibe. The Wifi worked superb. The breakfast was delicious, self-service. Will stay again when visiting Heviz.
