The hotel is located right next to the beach with great view and small private beach zone. The rooms were spacious and comfy. It is definitely a great place especially for family with small kids. They have very rich program of all day activities and you can't be bored during your stay. Also they have great and clean swimming pools.

We did not stay at Thamirakis as our room was not available, instead we were moved 1,2km away to the edge of the village. The place was very nice though, right on the beach, so no complains here.

Overall the stay was very good. The rooms were very comfortable and the showers were luxurious. For the price my two day stay was dream. The bathrobes were very nice. The wifi was excellent and the TV set up was also very good.

Perfect Cretan working village by the sea.Great beaches.Plenty good tevernas,kanefeons and bars with very reasonable prices.Supermarket,mini markets and shops Local butchers,bakers,fruit and veg shops with fresh local produce.Good base fortrips to other places including archeological and historical sites.Car hire and ATMs in abundance.It's about 30 - 40 minutes depending on your mode of transport from Chania airport and about 25 minutes from Souda ferry terminal.Highly recommended.

The rooms have no noise cancellation from the outside world.
The humidity is high and they look different than the picstures in booking.
They are probably 3-4 star bungalows not hotel rooms.

The hotel was lovely with very good all inclusive. The TV dosen't show English channels except for BBC News. Right on the beach with the hotel providing free sun beds & unbrellas. The sea was very cold & the beach very course. Not much in the village. You will need a car to get around or a taxi.

The owner is a very lovely lady. She even let me stay over the check out time on my last day, which was just perfect! It is by the seaside so the view is very pretty! You can also go to the little greek town center by foot. The beach is also very close and tavernas too. Supermarket is 1min away by car so the location is perfect!

Kalyves is a traditional Cretan seaside town, with so many good & well priced tavernas to choose from. Our favourites were Elena's and Mythos, both right by the sea. The beaches are lovely and clean and not too busy.
We have been visiting Kalyves on and off since 1990 and it really hasn't changed that much in all this time - it has the same charm now as it did then.

Travelled early May and loved the very relaxed feel to the village. Lots of places to eat delicious Greek food all reasonably priced. Lots of shops and supermarkets. Nice sandy beach too. Drinks in the bars were very reasonable and there were bakeries which opened early morning so you can buy freshly made pastries for breakfast. Totally delightful place.
The apartman is beautiful and very comfortable. We had a studio with 34 nm, it was great for 2 of us. Everything was very clean, the beds were great. Next to the apatmant you can find a bus stop to Chania, but it goes only 4-5 times / day. So it is not like in other places, every 20-30 minutes. If you would like to visit Chania or Rethimno it is better to rent a car. There are a some great tavernas in the village. The beaches are belonging to bars, and the sunbeds and umbrellas are free.
Quiet location, relaxed view to the sea, super close to the beach with walking distance to tavernas, comfy bed and sofa, sleeping room separate form living room (great when you have kids with you), equipped kitchenette, super friendly owner who met us to give us the key and help with the luggage, gave us hints, was there to meet all our needs. It was a very comfortable stay with a small kid, great for family stay! Thank you so much, will return there!
I came with very little expectations. As a first time Crete visitor, it's not easy to find the right place. Call it luck, this was the right place! The owners are amazing, the location is excellent, I managed to go to the beach every day. The culinary opportunities around are delicious! This place is worth it for the spectacular view of the bay alone. I hope to return one day.
Perfect location. Beachfront and steps away from shops, coffee shops, tabernas and bus stop to take You downtown Chania. Superb service and very friendly staff specially the team at the front desk, in special the front desk manager Penelope! They where able to accommodate all needs and requests we had during our stay. 10/10
The hotel is in a good location, near the beach and the center of the village. The room was comfortable and perfectly clean, the pool and the bars were very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Dimitra who always welcome you with a big smile and has suggestions on where to go around the area.

Wake up to coffee at a table on the lawn looking at the sea... Bbq stuff from the supermarket 2 minutes' walk from the place in the evening. Drive 5 m8nutes into Kalyves to walk around or go to a swimming beach. Lovely vacation spot.
We stayed for a week at Kiani Beach resort and it is an excellent choice for families with children. It is an all inclusive resort and resort offers great activities for kids .our kids enjoyed it very much ! Hotel management is very attentive to guests. Staff are also very friendly .
Apartment was clean frequently, bathroom was freshly renewed and nice. Kalyves as a place is small and quiet, lovely beach and good restaurants. Close to chania and a great place as a base for trips to different parts of the island. Would definitely come back :-)

It is really close to the beach, 20steps., free umbrellas. Beautiful garden, nice pool, very kind stuff. Big supermarket in a 100 meters, with a bus stop to Chania or Almyrida. The big, well equipped appartman was clean and big, with sea an garden view.

The apartment had a nice bedroom with balcony and a smaller kitchen and living room. It was well equipped.
Parking was right outside and it is a short walk to the centre of the village and even closer to the beach which is just across the road.

Well, location is good, comfortable beds, clean rooms, food is good but could be better, all in all not too bad. Big parking near the hotel (public, has a lot of space and it is safe)
Stayed here with my husband and 10month old and we all had a blast. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We upgraded to the VIP all inclusive and it was so worth it for the drinks.
The hotel is located next to the shallowest part of the city's beach, which is very convenient for children or people with disabilities. Well, or in principle during a storm.
