The Sunset Terrace in the autumn colors of late October was a brilliant hotel choice in Mestia! We chose a room with a large, private, terrace overlooking the stone towers in town and a riot of autumn color in the surrounding trees. The October foliage was just stunning, really. We appreciated having a separate sitting area and bedroom and loved the light coming in from large windows on 3 sides. The bed was comfortable, breakfast good, and staff warm and welcoming. We had a car but enjoyed the short walk to town so much that the car never moved until the day we had to leave.

It's easy to get around Mestia. The places i liked the most were: Koruldi Lakes, Tetnuldi ski resort, Ushguli and local museums in Mestia. The food was great in the local restaurants, everything highly recommended!

I was thinking Mestia was just gateway for Usyuguri Village, but the fact is not. It is nice and cozy town but very convenient as I could buy basic stuff at some shops and change money.
Taking walk in early morning was also nice to take photos of the towers and overview of village.

Mestia is a very beuatiful and special place in Georgia. Here you can find wonderful mountains, interesting traditions and great food. To go here it is better to choose Summer or Winter season. Winter is good for skiing, Summer is good for trekking and hiking. When in Mestia do not miss the chance to go uphill to Ushguli. These villages are UNESCO heritage and it is necessary to see it at least once. However, be informed that the road to Ushguli is really dangerous because of the stone falls and it is better not to go there when there is a bad weather, especially during the rain.
The guesthouse owners were very attentive, helpful, and resourceful. We went on car trips to Ushguli and other locations in Svaneti with Gia, the host. We absolutely loved Eteri’s cooking, which is a mix of traditional Svan, Georgian, and European dishes. The rooms were modern and clean, each with its own bathroom, hot water, clean sheets, etc. The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood several minutes walk from the centre of Mestia near where the trail to the Cross starts.
We immediately liked the vibe of the place, the best guest house we've visited so far in Svanetia. Irma is the perfect host, friendly, always willing to help, knowledgeable of local hikes, and she speaks good English. The other staff are also friendly and helpful. The location is excellent (secluded and quiet, but only a few minutes walk from the centre of Mestia), the food is great, and the guest house is kept spotlessly clean.

The hosts are amazing, Inga is such a welcoming and friendly person, we order breakfast once and she made it for us really fresh and hearty, so our experience was impeccable. The location is also very convenient, close to everything in the center of Mestia.
The best thing about Ioska’s house is that you feel like home there. The place is nicely decorated, very clean and cozy with beautiful garden and mountain view. Yet it is just a short walk to the city. The food is tasty and the hosts are very hospitable and friendly. The owner can also help you organize your time in Svaneti. Best place to stay for your time in Mestia. Close to the center and all the restaurants/shops, but not on the main road, so it's quiet. Big rooms and comfortable bed. Great service and wonderful host (was invited by the owner to try Georgian wine in the evening). And one of the best and largest breakfast I ever eaten. Defently recommend to all my friends and stay again there on my next visit.
We stayed here for our wedding in Mestia. They staff is AMAZING and very helpful. The hotel is clean, is perfectly located, and has exceptional views. The breakfast each morning is one of the best hotel breakfasts in our lives! And best of all, they are dog-friendly (no extra fee). I highly would recommend staying here. We plan to stay here every time we return to Svaneti!
First I need to say that they let me stay with their neighbors (also a guesthouse) where they had problem with water in their house.So this rating is for the neighbors.
It was really a lovely house with a nice view to the mountains, clean room with private bathroom with a good price, and the lady was nice and she prepared delicious georgian breakfast.
It's located up on a hill, a 10 minute walk to the main square, with beautiful views across Mestia. The breakfast they served us was incredible- the best breakfast we've had in Georgia, and they have an old barn that they've converted into a rustic-style bar just next door. The place is beautiful and the owners were lovely- I couldn't fault it.
Beautiful, new hotel in the centre. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Large, pretty, comfortable rooms. The price was very good for the location and standard of the rooms. Lots of great restaurants and cafes just a few minutes walk away. Also, supermarkets and ATM s close by. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Mestia.
Best thing was room access from outside. I was delighted to get a really hot shower (other place I stayed in Mestia previously had issues with water heating). The lobby was very cozy. Beds were really comfortable, the breakfast was heavenly and the owner was really friendly and accommodating. Great value!
we stayed 3 days. hotel have all facilities that you need for staying but the first day heater is not working with temp minus 2-3. but the strongest point is service that I appreciate with NANA, she approached us to encounter all problems. Breakfast is Georgian style and very good.
Anna was a very helpful host, and we felt very comfortable interacting with her and her husband. The place is central, very clean and warm, and corresponds to the picture. We had a lovely stay there and we recommend to book Seti hotel if you plan to come to Mestia!
