The location was ideal for me; 20 minutes to Farringdon on the Elizabeth line, or twenty minutes or so on the overground to London Bridge. Even DLR if required, all right on the doorstep.
The room was a good size and clean.

Don’t book this hotel. It’s a scam. They don’t have rooms and don’t accept booking online. The new owner who bought the hotel from the old owner don’t accept booking.com.
I got to the hotel yesterday and was told they can’t give me any room and no room , everywhere is full because my booking isn’t valid on booking.com. I did not sleep in any room. I want my money back

I liked seeing old friends as I worked and lived here for 19 Years many Years Ago . My Favourite Places to go were The Elephant 🐘 and Castle 🏰 Pub , The Ordanance Arms Pub and The Great Harry Wetherspoons Pub where I got great Value Meals and Drinks and Meeting New Friends as Well as Old Friends , The Woolwich Outdoor Markets are on every Day which Livened up the Atmosphere too right outside The Elephant 🐘 and Castle 🏰 Pub which also has a Beer 🍺 Garden too , One of few Pubs that have a Beer Garden as a Lot of Pubs have Closed down since I was last here over 10 years ago.THE GREAT HARRY WETHERSPOONS PUB was good for meals and drinks at cheap prices.

as i had lived nearby in abbey wood for over 65 year i would not be the appropriate person to state anything, i have seen woolwich change massively over the years. when i first went there it had about 6 department stores. 4 cinemas, I saw buddy Holly perform live there. in one. Now it is nothing but charity shops, It is a good jumping-off point to many tourist attractions and far cheaper than central London even when you factor in the travel costs and of course you have the Woolwich free ferry for a free trip across one of the worl's oldest rivers. and agood place ot see the thames barrier.

Woolwich and the neighborhood in particular is really great and one I would love to own a property in future. Secured, short walking distance to the shopping district and transport hubs. Just a nice setting.
