The location was amazing …so many walks to do in that area. I got a 7 day bus pass and would take the bus to a spot then walk back along some of the paths and walking ways.
The kitchen is absolutely perfect with everything you could need. The hostel is only 3 months old and purpose built as a bunkhouse/hostel.

The room was lovely - right at the front of the hotel with views over the Harbour
From all our trips to different hotels this time the breakfast was by far the absolute best.
Great service, lovely friendly staff, fabulously cooked breakfast. I would be more than happy to recommend for their breakfast alone.
The hotel staff in the bar and reception were also lovely and friendly and helpful.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating, the bed was really comfortable, the room was really spacious and the shared kitchen space had everything you need and was very clean
The accommodation was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
The accommodation was clean, spacious and very comfortable. It was very quiet. It was very convenient for the local attractions. We loved the Isle of Whithorn and Port Patrick. We went to the Mull of Galloway and climbed the lighthouse - a bit of an effort but well worth it. Whithorn is a Dark Sky area and we were fortunate enough to have clear skies on our first night, so we sat outside at the picnic table with a few drinks, star-gazing.

The town is very friendly and welcoming to visitors, barely a person walks by you in the street without saying hello.
For a small town it is well equipped with 3 convenience stores, a take away, bar & restaurant, and the local visitor attractions.
The ruins of the prior and iron age roundhouse are situated at the centre of the town with a museum for the priory positioned in front of it, and another museum run by the Whithorn Trust on the main street.
Unfortunately myself and my wife never visited the museums due to having our dog with us, though you can walk around the priory area, although at the moment it is fenced off due to structural works ongoing.

Everything was there as far as shops, food , history and walks! Beautiful place although some homes are empty and neglected noticed that renovation and rejuvenation of the village was in process. The people were friendly and helpful. The Railway Inn had a be wee beautiful restaurant (family run) with amazing food. The Central Cafe doubled as fish and chip shop , ice cream , ordinary tea/coffee shop and dinner snacks etc

Broader area great for a relaxing break, with walks, beaches and nature in abundance.
Not for those looking for loads of nearby attractions and stuff to do (other than the above), but the quieter pace, quietness and scenery are all well worth a visit.
The house was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, very nice of the host to have left some eggs, butter, cakes and cereals. The house is a good size giving it a homely feel, providing plenty of room with cosy living spaces and roomy bedrooms. The town of Whithorn itself is a very nice place, all the locals and neighbours seemed extremely friendly, barely a person walks by you in the street without saying Hello!
We liked the location, being close to Wigtown and the Isle of Whithorn. It is a small holiday park which seemed very quiet. The caravan has literally everything you need for a short or longer stay. The owners left a lovely gift basket and instructions. Even though the caravan is small it has two bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a second toilet.
Table and chairs outside, which is nice to eat meals on a sunny day. Good parking.
What a great little cottage, had a great outside secure garden for the dog. Hot tub was great, nice views over the fields. Cottage was cosie, had a tv and great wifi. Beds were comfy. 10 min walk into Whithorn for some food and drinks in the pub, just remember your torch for the walk back if it’s dark. I’d definitely go back
We stayed for a week and had plenty of time to explore the local museum (you have to do the roundhouse tour), the Isle of Whithorn, the cliffs with the singing seals, Wigtown, the beach at Garlieston... all on foot and by public bus. No mass tourism, everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
It is a lovely, clean, and well equipped bunkhouse that exists to support social and economic development in Whithorn. Public space was a good size making it easy and comfortable to meet fellow travellers.
