The location is beautiful, nice and peaceful. Food was wonderful, we ate an evening meal and had breakfast for 2 days. All well cooked and presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A comfy room, big enough for the two of us for 2 nights.

We stayed in one of the outside brick chalets, and spent the evenings in the Inn bar and it was all very pleasant. The Inn itself is full of the charm you would expect, from it’s location in the rolling hills, and both Margaret, the landlady, and the staff were lovely and charming too. Nothing was too much trouble. We intend to return at a future date.

We visited this hotel as we were going to Alton towers and it's really close.
I have visited before and absolutely love this hotel.
All the staff are helpful and very polite. During check in I was told we had a free upgrade to the bakeell room and it was absolutely beautiful. The views outside the room were lovely and the room was large and very clean. Can't wait to visit again.

We had our own fenced off area with lovely views and was able to keep the dog in his own area too with no problems. The cows was a great way to desensitise him! Loved it. We had a lovely BBQ which Jayne gave to us to cook on, she was a very welcoming and friendly host.

Good value for money and a lovely overnight stay for us. A clean, comfortable room with good facilities. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. The staff were first class- very friendly and helpful. You enter the hotel from a rear car park, which doesn’t give the best first impression, but once in the main reception area you are re-assured. The hotel is on a very quiet, peaceful location. It is not sign-posted at all from the A52 through Whiston, which is not ideal especially as the turning into the very narrow lane is tight and not obvious.

Delitefull place to stay with gorgeous scenery and lots to do being close to Alton towers and a golf course on site with the first tee only 30 meters from the front door. Look forward to our next stay.

Fantastic place to stay!
Fantastic place to stay! Such friendly hosts that would go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Food was incredible and had something for everyone - which is great when you have fussy eaters in your group.
We will always stay here when visiting Alton Towers.

Just got back from a 2 night stay... the young lady who was there the whole time we were, was so lovely. She is a real credit to the place and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and a great price... and so are the drinks!

Stayed here for 2 nights as visited Alton towers. The hotel was lovely / very clean, it was also on nice grounds which would have been perfect for lovely walks.

Was very spacious however we could hear people above us from time to time and our bed was abit hard !
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and included within our stay (vegetarian option available).
Alton towers was a 10min drive from hotel which was very handy.
All in all I would recommend hotel.
The service here was absolutely exceptional. Our hosts were attentive but not intrusive. Despite only staying one night, our host remembered small details that made our stay more enjoyable. Some of the best service I've experienced.
We stayed here for Alton Towers which is just an easy ten minute drive away. The location is perfect, quiet, and beautiful. The evening meal was also very good and great value, making this a more reasonable, grown-up alternative to the theme park hotels.
The room was beautifully decorated, with great touches, like tasty biscuits and water provided. There were also handy ear plugs provided for light sleepers. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was exceptional! Superb quality, excellent value and wonderful hosting. The staff we were greeted by for check-in, evening meal and breakfast were warm and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Perfect location after a visit to Alton Towers on a Sunday. even though the hotel had had a busy wedding on the Saturday and a Mothers Day lunch service our evening meal was excellent and the lovely staff were still full of energy!
