Absolutely lovely staff in all areas of the hotel and spa. Some of the facilities are in need of renovation/refresh (eg. shower curtains, walls) but given the price point, this is 10/10.
The breakfast was a buffet with nice options and fresh fruit. I heard another guest asking for different eggs and the staff were happy to make them specially for him.
The grounds are really pretty, the beds comfy and it was lovely and quiet in our room 41.
The swimming pool area was done in Grecian style which was really atmospheric and the jacuzzi was very warm and bubbly, just what you want!
Lots of parking too.

We were looking for something out of the way to just relax for the night away from home. The road was a little more main than I realized (as evidenced by the very loud motorcycles that pulled in at 9am), but overall it was a good fit.
The suite had a lovely view. It’s a shame it rained, it’s would have been lovely to sit out on the terrace.
The checking in and out were very easy (almost too easy - if I had been alone, I would have been a bit unnerved by the fact that it’s completely unmanned and not all that secure, but it does say that in the description).
Close to the river in beautiful Usk, The Three Salmons Hotel offers traditional charm, friendly service and good local food including freshly baked bread and home-grown vegetables.

Seemed short on staff. Restaurant service was extremely slow. Waited 90 minutes for food. Pool was cold. We were warned that jacuzzi was not functioning heat-wise but the pool was too cold to relax in.
Great location and setting. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Great little town, with everything you could need and wonderful ancient castle ruins. Brilliant location, between the beautiful Wye valley to the East and Brecon Beacons to the West and, although it is a town very much centred in the countryside, it is quickly accessible from motorways. I'll be going back for a longer stay, I hope!

We didn't get too much chance to explore the town but what we saw made us want to return. Very picturesque and we were lucky enough to enjoy good weather. Lots of places to eat and drink and some interesting independent shops to discover.

Usk is a beautiful setting but although an affluent area, there is very little choice with dining out, either as pubs offering meals were closed or the eari g establishments that were open were exceptionally poor. We visited a couple, unfortunately and the food was possibly the worst we had ever experienced. I feel if a good takeaway or restaurant opened in Usk it would make a killing!
Visiting family in Usk - A wonderful fresh granary loaf for our stay. Very comfy bed, nice linen and plenty room. Nice to have a wood burner for cozy nights in and the location was just home from home for me, perfect (though the hubby thought a bit of a bus man's holiday since we have animals at home) Lovely hosts, would definitely return and have shared the details with family. Great access to owner's fields and a little wood for our very welcomed dog.
Location, in the hot tub we could hear the birds very relaxing. The beds and sofa's were very comfortable, kitchen very well equipt. It had everything you needed - a home from home. Great pool table and a massage bed - really enjoyed it-facilities were fantastic. Easy walk quick into Usk. Checkin all communication was excellent.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good. It's a very old building and quirky. It's position on the main street meant it was convenient for walking the Usk valley path which is why I chose it. Great for an overnight stop and value for money.
The room was in the old part of the hotel, and was large, full of character and comfortable, with really nice views too. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and always happy to help. The grounds, while not expansive, were pleasant to wander round and the hotel is set back from the road so the location is peaceful.
Lovely hotel very close to centre of Usk. Spacious comfortable room and lovely bathroom. Staff were really attentive and helpful. Had a superb evening meal in the restaurant. Lots of parking and safe and tarmac parking for motorbikes. Good selection and choice for breakfast. Nice grounds for a drink outside.
Good value for money, no breakfast available so left in the room in a small fridge were complementary yogurts, porridge, orange juice , water and milk. Plenty of tea and coffee and sugar with a kettle so I will definitely return on my next trip to Usk
The hotel is out of town but has restaurant and everything you need to be comfortable. We had four rooms for our group. One room had an odder from the bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and had nice view of beautiful gardens and landscape.
Very comfortable room in a rural location under 10 minutes by car from Usk or a 20 minute brisk walk. I recommend the vegan breakfast - the scrambled tofu was delicious! I used the vensue as a base for hiking and biking in the Usk valley.
Lovely clean quiet room, with efficient friendly staff. The whole hotel had an air of being very well looked after with a garden to sit out and a semi rural location just outside Usk. I felt very comfortable as a guest travelling alone.
For my first time in Wales, The Greyhound presents a lovely country setting that is obviously loved by their owners and staff. The grounds are quintessentially Welsh amidst the rolling countryside.
The hotel has put up amazing Christmas lights in the trees in the grounds, along the boundary wall and round the building giving it a magical appearance. The decorations inside are good too
The grounds and the ambiance of the hotel are excellent - loads of outside space to enjoy
Top class swimming pool and gym facilities
