From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcomed. Andrew our host was so friendly and helpful with everything. Telling us where the best places to eat were, knowledgeable about the local area.

Lovely wood location with several pods spread about the hillside. The shared kitchen facilities were good, the beds were comfy and the outside balcony and table was a bonus with a good view to the loch.

Tarbert is a wonderful, welcoming village with great amenities and friendly local folk - it's a real community.
The views over the harbour and out over the Loch
are stunning.
The Moorings is a wonderful B&B which I highly recommend.
The Anchorage Bistro is an amazing wee restaurant which again is a must but do book to avoid disappointment
Plenty of free parking in the village and the ferry to Portavadie provides an alternative option to the road journey

Tarbert is a nice place, Knap house spoilt it for us, the room and bathroom were ok, but there was no cleaning of room, no automatic cleaning of room, regardless of how long you stayed your room was only cleaned when you left. There was half a toilet roll in the bathroom which had obviously been used by someone else.

A lovely place, a lovely area.
A lovely place, a lovely area. Great service and food options from The Deli, overlooking the harbour. The evening meal at The Starfish was ok, but the organisation, attention to detail and service wasn’t ok.

Tarbert is a lovely little town with plenty of shops for food and other supplies, without being a busy shopping centre. There are great walks around the area, and if you can travel a bit there are loads of places to visit, or you could just sit and watch the world go by in the harbour!

Picturesque on a sunny day .
Picturesque on a sunny day . Some shabby areas but a beautiful harbour. Friendly people including local fishermen who were happy to chat about their catch . Some good restaurants and delicious choice of sea food .
We loved the whole place! We had a King Size room with a lovely view of the sea which was amazing! The room was Exceptionally clean and the furnishings were fab and very tasteful. The bathroom in particular was outstanding!
The location is fab as you are just outside the main centre of Tarbert which allows for a much quieter and tranquil experience.
Martyn the host was so hospitable and we really enjoyed our chats with him. Sam the puppy was gorgeous and we joined them both for a lovely wee walk along the cove.
We stayed on the barge which from first appearances looks pretty grim but just like a book don't judge it by its cover as inside its perfect & magical at night with the harbour lights twinkling in the window as you are in bed at sea level without any sea sway feeling. Excellent stay and have to call out the friendly, helpful, efficient service of Gosia, a fantastic asset to the hotel, she's a gem!! Thank you Anchor Hotel & Barge and especially Gosia. We stayed here for a long weekend for the Tarbert Music Festival. We stayed in the top apartment which was brilliant. 2 double bedrooms, a twin room, shower room and small sitting room. Great location, right in the middle of Tarbert. Great choice for breakfast and the staff were very nice and helpful. We've booked up again for the Music Festival next year. Thanks you to Marian and the staff at the Frigate.
Location. Had a view from the bedroom window (Room 1) of the lovely harbour & castle. Parking to the rear. Close to amenities and had a quiet good nights sleep. Spacious bedroom and spacious bathroom. Welcoming contact with the owner regarding keys & codes for key box. No breakfast but was ok to take food back to the accommodation. Communal room with dining table/chairs and kettle/microwave.
A gem of a place in Tarbert; the hosts Mark and Aby are friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. Very welcome touch of packed sandwiches, fruit and yoghurt left for us when we had an early ferry to catch. The B&B is well-located on the harbour, with easy walk to restaurants and shops. Mark's recommended chip shop in Oban was also excellent!
Breakfast was excellent. Peter makes homemade bread and great porridge and coffee.
The views are fabulous of Loch Fyne and the rock and spring landscape in front of the house are spectacular and unique. Tarbert is a beautiful town, very picturesque. Enjoyed a drive down to Skipness and the old castle there.
Peter and Louise were very gracious hosts.
We stayed in the Shepherd's cottage, which was lovely and cosy. Perfect for a family. Liz was friendly and helpful, and the cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We loved all the cosy blankets! It's dog friendly which is great, and we all enjoyed a beautiful walk round the adjacent Stonefield Castle estate..
Large clean room with a small fridge, sitting area and satellite TV. Free parking outside was a bonus and there are nice views over the small harbour. Although our private bathroom was located outside, but near, the room, it was large with a walk in shower and plenty of hot water and very clean. A good budget hotel room.
The Knap Guest House is in a great location on Tarbert Harbour. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was provided on a tray to the room which consisted of a hot roll (bacon or egg), toast, cereal, tea, coffee and juice. We would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was good quality and presented very well. Mexican porridge was a surprise, and was delicious. Dining room filled with interesting articles. Contributed to a “homely” feel. Seeing boats and yachts moving in the harbour was a bonus.
Nice, clean and comfy room with beautiful view of the harbour. The owner was there to greet us on arrival. Perfect place for visiting the beautiful Tarbert castle and transiting to the Kennacraig ferry (only a 15-minutes bus ride away).
Something a little bit different on an ex working sea-barge moored on Tarbert quayside Large well-appointed en-suite room with full facilities.Great view of harbour.Adjacent to cafes, restaurants and shops.Quite a continental feel.
Really wonderful retreat right in the middle of Tarbert. I just loved this cozy little room. Hugh is a fine host.
Comfortable bed, good shower, adequate clothing storage. Quiet little hotel.
the location , overlooking the fishing boats heading back to the harbour, a stones throw from both the Portavadie ferry in one direction and into Tarbert Main Street in the other.
The room was large and the adjacent shower room was good. The location is great right in the center of Tarbert and easy to connect to bus and ferry transport.
