Very Friendly staff which was welcoming, and ensured our stay was comfortable. Great food in the pub, nice bathroom and comfy beds. We had to leave before breakfast was officially open and the staff set us off with baps and drinks to go! Plus they provide a fan which is always a huge bonus.

Stroud is quite a big town in Gloucestershire and, as such, it has all of the shops and amenities one would expect. Plus, with a taxi rank, train station and frequent bus services to/from Cheltenham and Gloucester, among other places, the town is well connected. I would recommend it as a base from which to explore Gloucestershire.

Vibrant, friendly and historic town full of stylish places to eat and drink, unique gift shops surrounded by beautiful countryside. Local bus service was also very reliable on the Saturday ( well - better than my own at home anyway!). Public toilets in the town were clean and convenient.
I was on my own but felt safe even at nighttime.
Would recommend the indoor market, Stroud Bookshops, as well as Cornflower and Calico for kitchenware gifts. The Coffee House and Curio Lounge Cafe Bar were great places to visit as well.

Amberley Inn was in a village outside Stroud, the area was very picturesque and plenty to do in the area. The Aboretum at Batsford was exceptional with lovely autumn colour and the Cotswold Villages are a delight.

Went to watch Giffords Circus at Minchinghampton Common, the show was fantastic and the atmosphere great, ate in the local pub, good food but a tad on the expensive side.
Lovely area of the Country to visit
Wonderful location on Rodborough Common. Ideal for exploring the Five Valleys area; Stroud, Nailsworth, Tetbury, Cirencester, Painswick and beyond. Friendly welcome. Lovely staff. Good range of eating options in the bar and restaurant. Plentiful free parking. Comfortable bed in our room, beautifully decorated throughout. Loved the Art Deco style bathroom. Delicious Full English cooked breakfast.
Though next door to a thriving pub, our stay was quiet and restful. It is so handy to have the pub next door with its excellent menu. The village location is pleasant and walks are easily accessible. Easy access to Stroud was a reason to choose this location, and the drive (short route on Sat Nav!) was interesting for its narrow lanes and picturesque villages.
The young man that showed us to our room had excellent customer service skills. The rest of the staff that we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly.
Room was nice, and breakfast was lovely. Situated in a great location for exploring Stroud. We would definately stay here again should we need to visit Stroud again. Thankyou for a lovely stay 😊
Excellent town centre location. Stroud is hilly, but within a couple of 100 yards and on the flat, you have tourist advice, library, all major banks, Wetherspoons, train station, Poundland, Wilko, Iceland and a food court. Waitrose is a little bit further, but still on the flat.
Spacious. I had flat 4, with 3 rooms plus kitchen. Would definitely sleep 6.
We liked the location and having the cottage to ourselves with a kitchen. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches, such as milk, fresh eggs and some grocery items. There was also information on things to do in the area. The grounds were lovely with beautiful flower gardens. Some members of the family enjoyed the hot tub.
Beautifully decorated and well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. Right in the centre of Painswick with a lovely view over the church/churchyard and Painswick Valley. Parking free and the Falcon were generous about being able to leave the car there after check out and before leaving Painswick.
We love this small hotel and the personal service you get as a result. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are quirky with great views of the surrounding area. The full English breakfast is superb and the overall atmosphere makes for a very comfortable stay.
Self catering facilities! There is an excellent cycle path that is 1 mile walk to nearest town ‘Nailsworth” plenty of choice of places to eat! Also local supermarket available if you want to take advantage of self catering facilities! Cycle path also leads to Stroud 4 miles
Wonderful house in nice area. Host was away but left everything we needed, and more. Being only occupants, including absent host, we made ourselves very comfortable and relaxed. Fine facilities and absolutely forst class cleanliness, and all amenities!
Abi is a wonderfully charming and solicitous host. Her expert knowledge of Stroud really enriched our stay. The accommodation was comfortable, relaxing and spotless. It was a great privilege to stay in such a warm and welcoming home. Thank you.
Old historical hotel, full of character. Fire going in lounge area making it nice and cosy.
The green initiative is a really good idea.
Dinner was really tasty. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Perfect stay. Clean, comfortable, excellent location, and friendly staff. Bonus points for wonderful included breakfast. This one definitely ticks all the boxes if you're visiting Stroud. And you should visit Stroud.
Very nice and in the centre of Stroud. Bedrooms very comfy and good facilities including a living area with sofas plus a large dining table with kitchen. A great place for people to stay and definitely recommended.
The accommodation provides everything you need for a getaway. The views from the accommodation is exceptional, the location is great for exploring the area and shops and restaurants not far away in Stroud.
Well equipped and cosy apartment. Good parking and convenient for local pub, walking into Stroud or local brewery and cafe. Comfortable bed and small patio area at the back which caught the morning sun.
Great location, apartments were nicely sized and clean. The host was very accommodating and spent lots of time helping to arrange our stay and also to give us tips on what to do in the area.
great dog friendly room and facilities. lovely dog friendly pub area and we were able to have our dog at breakfast in a dog friendly area. cannot fault this hotel. 100% would return.
The location was good for walking to the main attractions of the area and hiking the hills of the area. The parking spot was wonderful. The apartment was spacious.
