On arrival, it was pouring with rain so the receptionist said that I could park in an empty electric car charging space as there were no others free saving me from getting very wet! The room was spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. I ate at the hotel and found the food to be very good and well priced. I will likely stay here again when working in the area.

We knew the house was going to be amazing but it far exceeded expectations - it was just stunning, every room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Well stocked with everything we needed and more, it was just the perfect base for our hen party weekend. It felt like we had a boutique hotel all to ourselves. The barn is super cosy and has everything you need for a short stay in comfortable accommodation, it’s well designed with great facilities and homely touches. It’s secluded and private but set in a great location for access to many areas of natural beauty. The hosts are extremely accommodating and couldn’t do more to make your stay comfortable. Stradbroke is a very small village with few outlets all of which were closed early except for the small Spa shop we couldn`t even get a coffee as the coffee/tea shop was closed. Both of the village pubs didn`t open until 6pm.

Charmingvillage, but a little remote for some tastes, only 2 pubs and a few tea houses and a butchers and a spar shop, no takeaways, but a mobile fish and chip van comes round on a Thursday evening. People are friendly, but everything closes by 9pm so diner needs to be earlier or expect to drive to Laxfield or Bungay or Fressingfield in order to eat.
