The location of The Bell was good, could walk into town easily. The room was very nice and enjoyed the complimentary "Port" tasting . Nice to have a refrigerator in the room. The dinner at the Restaurant/Pub was good, except two dogs we're at a nearby table barking which ruined our nice dinner experience. I'm sure that it is a difficult decision to let dogs indoors at restaurants, but the staff didn't do anything about the barking. I went to the owners of the dogs and complained. Dogs belong outdoors at restaurants, not inside as far as we're concerned.

We liked the Architecture of the town. There were plenty of little shops to wander around. There were plenty of places to eat. It was very pleasant sitting near the old stocks. The Indian restaurant was excellent and we had good fish and chips. Stow on the wold is well placed to visit other towns like Broadway. Stow is flat on the whole and is easy to walk around.

We found Stow on the Wold an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds. You do need a car to explore all the lovely little towns. We visited a number of the villages in the Cotswolds including Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Upper & Lower Slaughter, Bibury & Chipping Campden, although all beautiful we still thought Stow on the Wold was the best location to stay. It is not as busy as some of the others and offers great pubs, dining and shops .
