The Meadowpark Bar, Kitchen & Rooms, hotel in Stirling

The Meadowpark Bar, Kitchen & Rooms has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Stirling.

No breakfast as some other reviews have mentioned, but they went out of their way to provide yoghurt, bacon, cheese, croissants, with jam and butter, orange juice, and milk to us that we could easily stow in the room refrigerator and eat at the time we wished to eat. That was rather nice, as we wanted to eat quickly and be on our way. Other reviews mentioned that the food was left outside the door of the room, and they didn't know if had spoiled. The manager must read the reviews because we were given our breakfast food in baskets as they showed us to our rooms upon check-in. They also provided serving trays to eat the meal on and there was a small table in our room. The hotel and the rooms are updated, clean, and creatively decorated. The beds were comfortable, and bathroom which was large had a large tub, which was lovely after a long day of traveling. Our room was a suite for a couple, and a third person who had a sofa bed. There was some noise from the street--it must have been a nearby bar, but not noise from the hotel. It didn't bother us but may bother some people. Another person commented that the front desk is not attended after midnight until the morning. We were explained this upon check-in. We live in the US and have stayed at motels where every room has its own outside door, which does make a person feel vulnerable, so it didn't bother us at all. The hotel itself is locked during the night hours. Combined with locking your room door, you have two locks to protect you. Also, every person who worked there that we met was very friendly and helpful.

The view out the window to the Bannockburn battle site was beautiful. The Scottish breakfast was very good. It was a cold night and the heater wasn't working, but the staff went out of their way to bring us extra blankets.

There are so many great historical places in and around Stirling that really fill up a day. The castle is very interesting and then going to Bannockburn battle field ,the Falkirk Wheel ,and the Kelpies ate up a whole day. All worth visiting. For me the only drawback is my 78 year old legs took a beating going up and down Stirling hill. The Wallace monument was very informative and has a very narrow circular staircase inside.

Centrally based for our purpose...there are lots of attractions within short distance from out apartment. We did a Park and Tram to Edinburgh...so much easier than trying to find parking in Edinburgh. Scone Palace was amazing! We went on a mini cruise on Lock Katrine..beautiful drive to the Trossachs. A must stop is Trossachs Woollen Mills where you can see Highland Coos.

A city rich with Scottish history, good food and drink, creativity and spectacular sights. Easy and cheap to rent a bike and explore the area. Great walks - head out to the Wallace monument, then meander along the river. Have a drink at the Stirling Distillery on the way up to the castle - and check out the view at sunset!

Beautiful area with so many places to explore.

Beautiful area with so many places to explore. Recommend a trip on the small boat over to Inchmahome Priory on the island of Lake of Monteith. Lake Cruise on Loch Lomond for 2 hours was also great. Would also recommend Stirling Castle to take in the fabulous views, and history. If you have time Doune Castle is definitely a "must see".. Used for some of the filming for Outlander and Monty Python film. If you're looking for a good laundry service.... Fresh & Clean had a reasonably priced FULL same day service which was perfect to get our washing up to date.

Stirling castle is magnificent. We were also near the jail, the town and Wallace monument which each deserved a whole day to explore. The castle and grounds at least three days. Stunning views and fresh air.
