The staff were very friendly and only a 10 minute taxi (roughly between 8-9GBP) to the centre. Staff were lovely and allowed an early check in.

The location and grandeur of the main building was superb. The gardens were lovely and the spa and gym facilities were great. Staff were lovely too.

Good breakfast. Really friendly and helpful staff who gave us lots of tips that helped us with our visit. We could walk into town. Bed was comfy and kids loved the bunk bed!

Joseph was very professional, attentive, and helpful, especially under the current circumstances they are having to deal with!
The young lady (sorry didn't get her name) who had the unenviable task of seating guests for breakfast, was also professional yet apologetic for the complete chaos she had to deal with.
The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the showers were strong and hot... perfect!
The hand wash, shower gel and shampoo was gorgeous...wish I could remember the company!
A quiet place within 20 minutes of York. If you enjoy peace & quiet and are happy to drive to where you need to go - taxis are expensive with the out of town charge - then this is definitely a place worth considering.
