The location is great, right in the centre and the room is clean and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. An effort is obviously being made to improve the quality of the hotel, but this is working more in some areas than others.
This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town center.

We arrived at the Windmill Inn at midday to be greeted by an very helpful barmaid who showed us to our room and told us to pop to the bar if there was anything we needed. The room itself was very fresh and clean, and appealing to the weary traveller. Myself and my partner slept very well in the comfy bed, and had a really nice breakfast the next morning - very good value for money. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
