The Fiddichside Inn, hotel in Rothes

Offering a garden and river view, The Fiddichside Inn is located in Aberlour, 30 km from Huntly Castle and 35 km from Grantown Museum.

Location was great, it was lovely to sit outside and watch the river running by. The house was clean and warm and the beds very comfortable. Kitchen was small but adequate for all our needs. If staying longer ( we were there 3 nights) then perhaps washing and drying facilities would be good. will definitely recommend to others.

Broomhead Cottages, hotel in Rothes

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Broomhead Cottages is a holiday home set in a historic building in Dufftown, 26 km from Huntly Castle.

My family had an excellent stay at Broomhead cottage. The cottages were impeccable, the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Everything you need for a great stay was available. Extra special touches like milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, shampoo and conditioner made it 10/10 for me and my family. The surrounding grounds are beautiful, lovely to wake up to such amazing views and to watch the calf’s jump around the fields. Ruth went above and beyond for my family, her kindness was greatly appreciated. We shall be back soon. Thank you for having us xx

    Ok for a walking base.

Ok for a walking base. No eating facilities in village due to COVID restrictions. Very busy thoroughfare for distilleries so no good for peace and quiet. Free parking good. With COVID everything closed even whisky bars in the pubs.

Central so easy to get to all the big whisky distilleries...

Central so easy to get to all the big whisky distilleries but only 15 minutes from Moray Firth coast as well. Quite a few hotels and a chippy so easy to eat out and small supermarket and tourist info place. Nice walking around the village. Everyone friendly.
