Except hotel. Only caveat is that safes are only available in some rooms. We had a higher end room that had no safe meaning we had the carry out valuables wherever. The hotel safe was not available for guests.

Everything was great!
Very clean, very comfortable and quiet flat right in the centre of Romsey. Close to everything: the Abbey, bus station, shops, the chippy, the park, cafes restaurants and takeaways.
And lots of fine pubs, especially the Nightingale the Cocky Anchor and my favorite - the Three Tuns. The train station and Waitrose are less than a 10 minute walk. Flacks brewery is about a 20-minute walk.
Ramsey has lots of History and a very satisfying Heritage Walk
Check in and out was very easy and Liz was an absolutely wonderful hostess. She answered all my questions very promptly and I felt welcome even before I arrived!

Lack of sufficient staff resulting in for one - shortfall on maintenance.
Smell of urine in bathroom, balconies to rooms filthy with years of neglect.
Profusion of weeds around outside leisure areas.
The overall impression was that Potters Heron is just about surviving.

We stayed only 1 night as we were attending a music event at The Plaza Theatre. We visited the Memorial Park and Abbey before looking around a some of the independent shops. The bar food was delicious in The White Horse and we had an excellent coffee and a panini in The Exchange.

A very quaint english market town.
A very quaint english market town. Historic pubs, excellent shopping options. Daily rotation of vendors in the market square selling everything from plants, vinyl records, clothes to fine baked goods and olives.
Beautiful at Christmas time. Take a day trip to Salisbury cathedral, home of the Magna Carta.

We were self-catering so the breakfast question is not relevant.
The format of the question about transport did not allow me to give a correct reply. There were three of us of whom two travelled mainly by train and one travelled by car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were delighted with the property and its character. It also is a perfect location for access to the town. Romsey is also a great base for visits in this area.
Bee Cottage is in a quiet area with a pretty little river a few steps away. Inside it is very spacious yet cosy and spotlessly clean. We are a family of 5 and everything we needed was there. The downstairs shower room was an extra bonus for us. The town centre is within walking distance with a good variety of shops. There is also a lovely park very close which we visited a few times.
The food was excellent, though the menu slightly limited. The location was excellent also, with the room overlooking a small brook, with plenty of wildlife. Access to Romsey is an easy walk, and the New Forest just a short drive away.
Lovely hotel, ideally situated with attentive professional staff who all seemed happy to be working there. Breakfast was excellent and served in a really nice restaurant area.
