The room was as advertised, very clean, spacious and we were kindly provided with two extra cot beds for our two children. The room was cleaned daily and nice refreshments and treats (especially for the children) were also provided on a daily basis. The room was very well equipped with a TV and a spacious ensuite bathroom with a large shower and the usual amenities one can expect. The Breakfast included in the room rate was also excellent, the Hotel provided a nice range of options to choose from and was quite substantial and nourishing, very well worth the price. The staff were all super friendly and always ready to help, they were also very patient and understanding with our children (who can be quite a handful sometimes). The property is also equipped with a spacious parking lot and we always found parking bays available for use. Although the Hotel has a pub downstairs (which is also a plus), we could hardly hear any noise and did not affect our sleep at all (anyway the Pub closes at 11pm sharp). All in all it was a very positive experience for us and this Hotel in fact exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be booking again with this property and it is very easy to recommend to others. Definitely worth every penny.

The room was very clean and well equiped. The room has a TV, a mini fridge and a kettle, which came in very handy throughout my stay. The host was very friendly and helpful, who made an overall experience even better.

Everything was great!
Very clean, very comfortable and quiet flat right in the centre of Romsey. Close to everything: the Abbey, bus station, shops, the chippy, the park, cafes restaurants and takeaways.
And lots of fine pubs, especially the Nightingale the Cocky Anchor and my favorite - the Three Tuns. The train station and Waitrose are less than a 10 minute walk. Flacks brewery is about a 20-minute walk.
Ramsey has lots of History and a very satisfying Heritage Walk
Check in and out was very easy and Liz was an absolutely wonderful hostess. She answered all my questions very promptly and I felt welcome even before I arrived!

Location was great for visiting the two major gardens in the area. It isn’t luxury accommodation but it was very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

We stayed only 1 night as we were attending a music event at The Plaza Theatre. We visited the Memorial Park and Abbey before looking around a some of the independent shops. The bar food was delicious in The White Horse and we had an excellent coffee and a panini in The Exchange.

A very quaint english market town. Historic pubs, excellent shopping options. Daily rotation of vendors in the market square selling everything from plants, vinyl records, clothes to fine baked goods and olives.
Beautiful at Christmas time. Take a day trip to Salisbury cathedral, home of the Magna Carta.

When in Romsey, suggest you try Cork & Bean cafe, 108 The Bakery for home made sourdough bread & cinnamon buns, Luc's delicatessen for a bottle of wine and some cheese to complete your shopping
Location was beautiful. Door was left open for us on arrival with candles lit and Prosecco on ice. Hosts were opposite so nearby if needed. We were made to feel comfortable and were contacted in advance on how to find the accommodation as it is in a very rural and secluded location. The barn is cleaned and maintained to a high standard and every aspect is well kept with unique decor. We made the trip to visit Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park however this would serve as a great base to explore any of the big towns or cities nearby.
We had a nice stay. Shame the restaurant had shut by 9 as we arrived 9.15 and were too late for dinner.
The website had warned about the noise from the function suite below our room. It did not spoil things for us, but it was VERY loud and if you need to be in bed before 11 you may want to request a different location within the hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. Nice breakfast. Would return if we were in the area again
We were self-catering so the breakfast question is not relevant.
The format of the question about transport did not allow me to give a correct reply. There were three of us of whom two travelled mainly by train and one travelled by car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were delighted with the property and its character. It also is a perfect location for access to the town. Romsey is also a great base for visits in this area.
The Cromwell Arms is well situated just a short walk outside Romsey. It is on a busy road but the rooms are at the rear of the property and well shielded from the traffic. The bars, grounds and staff are all excellent. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. There is no air conditioning though which could be a problem on hot nights. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would certainly use the Cromwell Arms again - thank you!
The hotel was centrally located in the town. It doesn't have a car park, but the receptionist gave us a map which explained where we could park not far away, near Waitrose. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere convenient for the New Forest and that part of Hampshire.
A lovely stay in stylish surroundings. The bedroom was comfortable and very clean. There was access to a lounge and a garden (looked lovely but not the weather!). The house was peaceful and situated in a nice area of Romsey. The breakfast was continental with plenty to choose from. The host was friendly and genuinely keen to help in all ways possible.
Clean, modern en-suite room situated in a building adjacent to the pub. Room fairly basic, but comfortable bed/linens and nice towels. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast (an optional extra) - custom made to accommodate your preferences. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
The hotel is a 10 min walk from Paultons park, which was very convenient as we traveled with kids. Rich breakfast menu, overall food was very good and they even gave us kids cutlery which was lovely and thoughtful! The hotel is within easy reach by public transport, with a bus stop located across the road.
Very easy to get to from Romsey station. We had everything we needed and felt very relaxed and comfortable there. It was clean and very well organized. Also Julia responded to me instantly whenever I had a question and stayed up till midnight to let us in when we first arrived.
This is a quaint converted barn that has old world charm. The gardens are gorgeous. This was great place for us to work during the day and go visiting the countryside in the summer evenings and weekends. Stonehenge was about an hour drive away, Southampton 20 min drive.
Every thing about this hotel was exceptional. It has newly been refurbished to a very high standard. The staff are all very well trained. The breakfast included was chef standard and excellent as well as the coffee. Location very central. Very clean. Very excellent 👍
En-suite walk in showers off both rooms. Plentiful parking. Dog friendly. Field to exercise dog off garden. Easy to get to local places of interest e.g. Romsey abbey, Hillier Gardens, New Forest. Appreciated provision of cereals and milk. Comfortable beds.
The room was really beautiful and clean. The staff were incedibly accomodating and friendly at the check-in desk. They stored my bag for me before I could check-in. The hotel itself is beautiful and utterly charming.
A nice hotel set centrally in an attractive town, with a mixture of modern design and real old world charm. Welcoming staff and a comfortable room at an good price. Breakfast was beautifully presented.
Really, nice, friendly staff. Good location for commuting to north Southampton. A good size room & bed. Nice large bar and dining areas and beautiful location. lots of space for parking.
