Heulwen Guest House, hotel in Rhydymain

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Heulwen Guest House is set 3.1 mi from Dolgellau in the Gwynedd Region, 27 mi from Aberystwyth. Free private parking is available on site.

Our stay at Heulwen Guest House was so delightful that we didn't want to leave. Our hosts' welcome was warm and the room was immaculate and cozy. We could step out of our room onto a patio, gaze at the breathtaking view of the meadows, the baby lambs, and the mountains, immersing ourselves in the joy of being in nature whilst luxuriating in comfort. Our days began with a bountiful and hearty full English breakfast cooked to order, and served by Heulwen and Andy not only with a smile, but with genuine joy. Heulwen and Andy were always at the ready with directions and suggestions for our forays from the bungalow. The house is decorated with the most exquisite taste, and although we were blessed with unusually good weather during our stay, we could imagine the pleasures to be had from lounging in the sitting room with a good book on a rainy day. Given the serenity to be enjoyed at this bed and breakfast, it's all the more felicitous that it is located only about ten minutes' drive from Dolgellau, a beautiful old town of stone structures with a number of shops and good restaurants. We can't wait to go back and stay at Heulwen Guest House again.

Aber Cottage B&B, hotel in Rhydymain

Highly recommended. Friendly welcome, exceptional quality throughout, perfect location for our requirements and the breakfast was spot on. The small stairs presented a challenge for my size 13 feet but that's part of the charm of the place.

Bryn Mair, hotel in Rhydymain

Bryn Mair in Dolgellau provides accommodations with a garden, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

This house is up above the main village which is a short walk away. What a relaxing place to be. My room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the house beautifully decorated for the holidays. The hosts were very accommodating to my special needs. The made-to-order breakfast was exceptional. Careful on the small lanes getting up to the house. There is parking on site. For dinner, I walked 5 minutes or so to the main village where I had my choice of fine restaurants.

Wonderful house and apartment. Lovely hosts, superb and plentiful food for breakfast, and welcoming Welsh cakes. If I could score this 11 out of 10 I would. It is a huge apartment and very comfortable. It's a great base for walking or just seeing the local area.

A really comfortable well equipped cottage, we wanted for nothing, and a really picturesque location. The hosts were so friendly, close by, but they gave us complete privacy. Loved the log burner, the board games and the information folder provided.
