Great location on Chapel Street. Restaurants, Tesco & shopping within walking distance. Really helpful and friendly staff. Option for cooked breakfast comes with the cost of the room + coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, and cereal items too. Friendly and helpful staff. Front desk helped us get a taxi, which was very nice. Overall good experience.
With wonderful views across Penzance Bay, Hotel Penzance offers award-winning cuisine and boutique bedrooms. Guests can relax in the swimming pool in the Mediterranean-style gardens.

I liked the artwork and the decor of the inn. It was very convenient to have a lounge for an early breakfast or evening dinner/drink. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was great with a heated towel holder and rainfall shower. I also loved the natural lotions and soaps that were free. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

Easy self-check in even though we arrived late at night.
Mike, Ally & Elvis are wonderful hosts. Mike recommended lots of places that we shouldn’t miss in Cornwall.
The living room and breakfast room are beautiful. Lots of breakfast choices and the hot foods are well prepared and delicious.
Free parking on street is convenient.

Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides!
Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant.
For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide.
Go to St Ives by train - the view from St Erth into St Ives is breathtaking !

Glad we got tickets for the Minack Theatre and explored the Gobal Telecommunications Museum, took the Coaster bus several tiimes, including to Land's End and walked the Coastal path to Sennen. Enjoyed the Penlee art gallery, especially in the midst of reading "Summer in February." Enjoyed a meal at the oldest pub, and at the Longboat Inn. The staff at the Info Centre were the best - gave us so many tips and set us on the right buses.

i like walking on the promenade, along to Newlyn, took the Mounts Bay coast path to Marazion, took the bus to Trengwainton gardens- lovely to see the magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias - interesting walks round the gardens and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and good food.
Visited Trewidden gardens by bus and also took the train to St. Ives- a lovely scenic run along the coast.
Penzance town has a nice selection of shops and it is worth exploring the back streets and the area round Chapel street. On previous visits have been to the Morrab gardens and other parks. Penzance is easy to walk round, has a good bus service and the tourist information staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Went in the end of February, it was a quiet time with everything closing by 10pm, and last buses leaving early, but it's just as lovely if not more so as any other time of the year could be. Even for hiking, if you get ready for the wind, the rain, the fog, the mud and the cold.

We came in February so not very busy.
We came in February so not very busy. Many places to walk around, lovely garden in the center of town. Great beach, St Michael's Mount very close by. St Ives also not far away. Great place as a bae to see Cornwall.
Very clean, comfortable, well equipped holiday home in a lovely quiet village location. Just a few minutes drive to Penzance and with easy access to all area of West Cornwall. Kind and helpful hosts who live in adjacent property, always available for help and advice, but respectful of the privacy of their guests. Dedicated parking area with access to an electric socket for charging an electric car (for which I paid a very fair additional cost for the electricity consumed). Highly recommended.
We stayed at the Mount View Hotel for one night to visit Penzance. The Hotel is very close to Penzance: 7 minutes by car, or you can take the bus from the bus stop by the road in front of it. The room was with twin beds and a bathroom shared with another room. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and very comfortable. The beds were perfect for a relaxing night. Breakfast is served downstairs, both cooked (full English breakfast) or cold (cereals, juice).
I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Penzance. We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded our room, and it turned out to be amazing. The room had a stunning view, and the hospitality was top-notch. The amenities provided added an extra layer of comfort to our experience. The hotel's proximity to the main station and bus stop made our travels convenient. I would highly recommend Hotel Penzance for anyone looking for a delightful stay with excellent service.
Had to wait outside for 1 hour to get the access code. Beds where two singles not a double. Wifi code did not work and did not receive reply about the new code. For 140£ it was a rip off but i had no where else to go. Stayed at the Queens hotel for 100£ the next night which was considerably better. This is the only bad review i have ever given. I tend to do more research y'know? Just being Honest.. Hope the owner sorts it out..
The Stanley is perfectly located for the ferry and was literally a 2 minute walk. There was plenty of parking nearby where we were able to park our car for the week. The breakfast was really lovely and will last you through till lunchtime. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If we find ourselves once again getting the ferry from Penzance, we would not hesitate staying at The Stanley.
A very nice older building with well appointed rooms. Very close to the waterfront and great walks back to Penzance and Newlyn, where there were some great seafood restaurants. Close to St Michaels Mount, just remember to check the weather as you may have a bumpy boat ride in front of you. The hotel is easy to access and while parking is in the street, there is no problems finding a spot near by.
My wife and I stayed at the Coldstreamer Inn for two nights from Mevagissey as my wife had surgery in Penzance. We were very happy about the willingness to help and friendliness.
Everything was very to our satisfaction. Dinner and breakfast were good. It is a hotel for normal people who are looking for peace. You'll find it all at the Coldstreamer Inn.
I think it's worth coming back
Bay Lodge B&B in Penzance is a good base for exploring the SW Cornwall area with on-site parking. Very good full breakfast along with very friendly and helpful owners. Rooms are small but comfortable. No sitting room other than the dining area means it is not the place to hang out. But lots to do close by – by foot, bike or car.
Beautifully presented, modern and clean. Bed very comfortable with pristine 4 star hotel like bedding, spare blankets and towels available. Fantastic appliances in kitchenette all you need for self catering. Great location in centre of Penzance with access to train if needed and lovely St.Ives beaches only a 20-30 min drive away!
Clean hotel with character and good location in the centre of Penzance.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They stored my bag until the evening when I checked out.
Vegetarian breakfast was adequate.
Bar wasn’t serving food when I stayed. Wasn’t an issue as plenty of places to eat nearby.
I liked the hotel and would stay again.
We stayed here as a stop before going over to Marazion.
The view was great. We also had a fabulous dessert that evening. We also asked for a room change due to stairs, and they accommodated us immediately and helped with luggage. This is a typical, old European hotel, but was clean and met our needs.
Cosy place at a good location and friendly staff. We had a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was very good and Alan very helpfully let us store our luggage at the hotel even after check out time as we had a late train to catch back to London.
Would love to stay here again the next time we're in Penzance.
I loved the Gulval location - on the edge of Penzance, easy to walk to the centre of town, but a real village atmosphere. Friendly staff, popular pub but not noisy at night. We walked to the Tremeneere sculpture park (lovely, but I think it's more than the three miles they say on the sign).
Wonderful staff, amazing view and completely new renovated rooms. The Ship Inn and the town are both absolutely lovely places to stay - and less hectic than the main "downtown" part of Penzance. Highly recommend this Inn.
Staff is very responsive to our requests. Very clean and basic accommodation. Located right next to the promenade of the Penzance beach with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
