Amazing location, fantastic food, and staff.
Everyone was warm and friendly but a particular shoutout to both Mikhail and Daisy for consistently excellent service and friendly chats with myself and a number of other guests when serving at the bar.

We were able to appreciate the drama of the stormy weather in warmth and comfort, watching through the window of the bar area.
The buffet breakfast provided full variety and excellent quality.
The hosts were very helpful and attentive.
From our country house hotel by the sea, the only thing we overlook is the bay. Our spectacular clifftop location offers a 180 degree sea view over Carlyon Bay.

This was the best stay my husband and I had on our honeymoon in Cornwall. Charlestown is very quaint and the Rashleigh Staff upgraded us to a larger room than we had booked. We arrived all wet on a rainy afternoon and it was so amazing to turn the heat up, take hot showers, and relax over the tea provided in the bathrobes that were left in our room! We slept so well in the comfortable king sized bed and didn't want to leave.
We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and thought the food and service were quite good. We are both gluten free and they had a lot of options that worked for us.
Overlooking Charlestown Harbor, Pier House offers spacious rooms with traditional charm and wonderful views. With free parking and cooked breakfasts, there is also a popular restaurant.
Beautiful sandy beach. Two pubs within a two minute walk in either direction of front door of where we stayed-both serving beautiful food.
It is a very quiet village with basically one tiny gift shop and a "lite bite" style takeaway that only really does pastries and cakes. There is a chip shop on the holiday camp across from the local pub (about a 5 minute walk through the camp itself.) Don't let the term holiday camp put you off. You wouldn't even now it was there until you pass the gate on way to the beach.
Parking at a premium and is £5 per 24 hours in pay and display but there are about 12 bays in the village square which are free to park-they usually empty of an evening once the day trippers go home.
Beautiful and historical and just bursting with charm. If it is a quaint Cornish village retreat you want then this is the place for you. St Austell bus and train hub is a £10 taxi ride away if you do not want to drive and from there you can go anywhere you wish in Cornwall.
Mevagissey is walkable on the coastal path but a word of warning here-you will need the fitness of an olympian. Not for the elderly, infirm or anyone pushing a pram or buggy. An hourly bus service is the better option!
