Immediately upon on arrival we were greeted and made to feel most welcome with tea and cake. The room had a wonderful view and the most wonderful bathroom with a claw foot bath and huge separate shower.

We stayed with Jay and the team for 4 days / 3 nights over Easter. From the moment we arrived they couldn’t have been more welcoming. Every one of the team were overly helpful and accommodating. Everything was clean and tidy, breakfast was divine, location was perfect and only a short 10 min walk from the village. Personal touch’s throughout such as torches for us to take out in the evenings, a help yourself honesty bar, they even made us a pack up for when we couldn’t make it to breakfast one morning as we were leaving too early that day to go up snowdon. We’re already talking about going back to wales and I really don’t think we would even bother looking elsewhere to stay as really couldn’t fault it!
Thank you so so much to the Sygun Fawr team as what a stay we had !

Room was good, and the bathroom was a very generous size. The parking was conveniently located at the back of the hotel, with direct access to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Only take-away food establishments in the village plus a convenience store. Oakley Arms approximately 10 minute drive from the village serves excellent value for money meals though they only serve up to 8pm. There are other places to eat in Porthmadog. Ffestiniog railway passes through the village and there is a station though we did not use it. Good touring base for all North West Wales. Main road through the village is very narrow.

The beautiful town, Portmeirion is around a 10 minute drive away from the property, though no dogs are allowed here. Keep this in mind if you have your pooch with you. You'll find a lot of the beaches are dog friendly but do check as this changes summer time. I love North Wales! What a place.. I'd recommend everyone go here at least once.

Good location to visit many attractions and the town with a supermarket so you could pick up any groceries plus several eating places which is so convenient to grab food if you didn't want to cook. There's not much to do in the town itself but the house is warm and comfy after a day out walking or exploring.

We been 2 nights at the hotel. If you want party at the bar it's perfect to have a stay on this hotel but if you want to rest and sleep its the worse place ever !!, we was in room 4 but our neighbours from room 5 .... disgusting. Going up down with out stop .. door noise 24 h .. many hours of very loud music... people screaming in the other rooms.. Well.. not a nice place if you want to rest . 👍
The room was a good size very clean. Downstairs is a games room with pool table and darts and there are 2 other rooms if you want a quiet drink. The staff were very friendly. Your only 7min drive away from portmeirion and 10min away from portmadog. There is various food places around although you can't take food in to the hotel.
This was a great hotel/pub... The room was great with a great shower and very clean room..
The bar staff was a young fella who was very friendly and an all round great bloke.
There was a great walk across the rail tracks to a lone house where the estuary is... the owner came down and chatted with us..
If you like hotels with history and character then Taldraeth is good for you. It is a very impressive old vicarage house filled with vintage oak furniture and details. Good location, very friendly host, quiet place with perfect view on seaside. Breakfast served at requested time, all good.
The hotel/bar/restaurant has been very nicely refurbished with an elegant but relaxing colour scheme and good quality fittings. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom is brand new. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices.
Perfect location for visiting the area, Portmeirion and Portmadoc. The hotel has been refurbished recently so the room and bathroom were comfy and modern with ideal temperature. Food was fresh and delicious and the staff is professional.
Breakfast was ‘ freshly made to order ‘ and better than many hotels we've stayed at.
Rural location of property and view from the room and garden were breathtaking. Surrounded by nature.
