An absolutely wonderful stay in Elizabeth Ann’s beautiful country home. Super comfy room and with all the facilities you could want. Breakfast was an especial highlight, and tailored exactly to your own likes/dislikes and dietary requirements. We had a lovely stop over stay at the little hut/wagon on the way up to the Highlands. It was very clean, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. It has a quaint and rustic feel that was very welcoming. There's a kettle, microwave and toaster, heater and compost loo to meet your basic needs and the hut is surprisingly quiet on the inside. The bird life around is simply wonderful and the rural setting is ideal to escape the world. Thank you for sharing this special corner of the world with passing guests. We'd be happy to return. The location was exceptional and the three days we spent there were very affordable. Along the Ninth River, it was quiet and the sound of water flowing wa soothing (there was also an electrical hookup for EVs). We loved watching the sheep and lambs across the river. The surprise was the owner is an Italian chef! We arranged to eat dinner at the hotel on our first evening after a long trip, and then we ate every meal there for three days! Each time was delightful. He grows vegetables in his garden and greenhouse, and everything was perfectly prepared. We highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely little village, close to good road links to get...
A lovely little village, close to good road links to get around the areas. We visited different places around the local area. Our favourite was Raiders Road forest drive through Galloway forest, it was just £3 to drive though and we saw deer and red kites along with other wildlife. We went to a lovely Italian restaurant in the next village on Saturday and enjoyed an authentic pizza. It's a lovely of the world with lots to see and do, especially if you enjoy the great outdoors.
