It's a truly beautiful place with a unique interior design that we loved. Findig our room was like climbing up the stairs in a maze (in a good way) and made us feel as if we were staying in a castle. The room was clean, with surprise Kit-Kat bars and Cadbury hot chocolate powder on the tea table. The bed was big and comfy, bathroom shower excellent with two shower heads. Staff was really nice and helpful (e.g. carrying my luggage to our room). We loved the little garden in the back and the location is also perfect, in a quiet area but ten minutes on foot from the city centre. We appreciated that at breakfast, the self-service table was monitored and restacked regularly. If we return to York, we would love to book this place again.

A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level.
The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated

Breakfast room good. Put felt pads on the legs of the chairs so they glide easily rather then scraping on the floor. Dry noisy .
The one room was soooooo small hard to move around in it , especially the bathroom. The bigger room was better but Inpaid more
