This is a wonderful place for people who like to stay somewhere with character. It's an early Victorian house, decorated with antique prints and stunning family portraits. Breakfast is served in the owners' vast library. Ideal for history buffs.
The welcoming Wheatsheaf provides peaceful accommodations and award-winning food. It is located near Berwick-upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso.

Very personable and friendly team.
Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on.
Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy.
The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.
The Gables is set in 2 acres of gardens outside Duddo, surrounded by the Cheviot Hills. This family-run bed and breakfast is housed in a charming Victorian villa, once a vicarage.

Steve was as warm and welcoming as the property. Great location if you’re exploring Holy Island and other glorious destinations in the area. And the breakfast was the best in alllll of the b&b’s I’ve ever stayed. Plus, I loved their sweet little kitty cats.

The people were so nice and helpful, and breakfast delicious, and the accommodation purpose built so it couldn’t have been nicer.
It was easy to walk to a local place for an evening meal.
Norham has great historical interest with Norham Castle open to walk round.

A dedicated and welcoming space for weary cyclists, (so perfect for users of the fantastic National Cycle Network) and fellow travellers. Quietly located and slightly secluded which made the arrival a lovely discovery. Bikes-as-signs a handy landmark on roadside. Location on border adds an appeal. The Tweed is beautiful here and the many trees and meadows. Useful paths for walks and jogs before breakfast. The castle casts its own spell. Utterly peaceful. Village well kept. Hope riverside path gets repaired soon (as one section closed presently). Ate at Mason's Arms which was friendly and decent. And we included a nip down to Honey Farm which was fascinating. Liked the calm, relative to the bustle of (lovely) Berwick.

Nice pub with very comfortable clean rooms. Whilst not overly bothered no daily room service.
Breakfast is at 8.30 only but a lovely cooked breakfast. Staff are really lovely and can't do enough for you. Set in a very quiet location but perfect for exploring different areas. Lovely river walks. Easy access to Bamburgh, Holy Island and Edinburgh only an hour away.

Beautiful old church to look around, open every day.
Beautiful old church to look around, open every day. It also has it's own ruined castle. Norham is very handy for Berwick, Seahouses and Holy Island. Village very quiet but has a couple of good pubs, perfect for eating. Locals very friendly and you soon get chatting. Norham is very flat for walking.

Small village, picturesque but not chocolate box.
Small village, picturesque but not chocolate box. Enjoyed a walk along the riverbank and towards the castle. Village noticeboards showed a lively village life and one board gave historical information. Certainly worth revisiting.

Traditional cosy country inn with up to date beautiful rooms. Delicious meals. Great well stocked bar with some cask ales. Recommend for a couple of nights in a quiet rural setting with Berwick along the road and not too far from the stunning north Northumberland coast . Easy to get to by car.
Lovely clean cottage in walking distance to the River Tweed and Norham castle ruins. Scotland was in eyeshot with a brief walk to the river. Norham is very quiet with a nice pub and historic church. A great place to get away from urban life. On cold nights the cottage was cozy with wood fire and well appointed kitchen for meal preparation. Dog friendly which meant all family members could be accommodated. Proximity to the wonders of the border country was very good and beautiful terrain surrounded and nearby seascapes.
Visited Norham for my Cousin's 60th Birthday and several of us booked in at the Mason's arms.
Room not huge but big enough for two. ensuite facilities good, well decorated, beds soft but not everyone likes a soft bed.
Tea making facilities in the room.
Breakfast included in the price and excellent, lots of cereals and full range of cooked food. plenty of tea/coffee, juice.
Staff are excellent.
Will certainly stay again if in the area.
Friendly welcome from Sheila, lovely clean, cosy and spacious room and bathroom, delicious and plentiful breakfast cooked to order and served in a pleasant dining room with crisp white tablecloths.
Norham is an interesting village too and I would have liked to have stayed longer. Would definitely stay at Abbotsford again if in the area and recommend wholeheartedly.
The hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly
The property is extremely well presented and spotlessly clean
The property is located in a quiet part of Norham - an attractive village surrounded by lovely countryside
There is a very nice guests lounge
Breakfast is excellent with lots of choices
Very helpful staff, very friendly. Unspoiled country pub, extended and renovated. Original bar. Grand. The village of Norham is beautifully kept. Could this now be the only place in the UK without litter strewn about the streets ?
Good location in Norham village. Comfortable bed and very quiet location. Good WIFI in cottage connected to smart TV. Nice pub in the village for a drink and pub meals. Easy to get to the coast and nice walks from the village.
I will be back, this is the best pub/Hotel I have stayed in, I was in room 6 out the back no steps, lovely room / bathroom, best breakfast on my northern tour, nice beer, free WiFi a very lovely village
able to dry out wet clothes and wash muddy salty bikes and loved Norham itself. the staff went above and beyond . would definitely stay again if visiting the area
For a B & B it was home from home but had al the facilities of a hotel. Sheila & Sandy were perfect host's. Would definitely recommend & hope to return.
