The hosts, Laura and Bryan are awesome! They are warm, friendly, and respectful. The full Scottish breakfast was by far the best we had in Scotland, far exceeding the one at even luxury establishments. The attention to detail and cleanliness was evident. Without being prompted, Bryan helped us with our luggage and Laura ensured we had everything for a comfortable stay. We would gladly recommend Clune B&B, Bryan, and Laura's places to anyone.
Located in the beautiful Inverness-Shire countryside, this bed and breakfast offers an optional room service breakfast as well as vegetarian and healthy options.

A wonderful location with friendly hosts. The breakfast was outstanding and the possibilities to cook your own meal in the well facilitated kitchen is wonderful. The cherry on top of the cake is the sunroom where it is easy to sit down and let go all of your worries.

Newtonmore is a small village with little to offer in the way of shops, etc. The speed limit in towne center is much too fast to afford safe pedestrian crossing of Main Street and the thru traffic is heavy for such a small town. The crown jewel of Newtonmore by far is the Balavil Hotel; the accommodations are warm and comfortable, the staff is top notch and the food is superb.

Well appointed hotel complex.
Well appointed hotel complex. Our room was in the Annexe and very well furnished for short stay visitors. Very clean and fresh. Garden and surrounding areas well maintained and seating areas provided should the weather be favourable.
We opted to eat in the hotel for Dinner and were not disappointed. Service was first class and food standards were excellent.
Areas arund Newtonmore very accessible from the A9 and east through Kincraig to Aviemore was pictuesque. Lots to see and do, very vibrant area within 15 mile radius.
Avoid coming through Perth as road Duelling on A9 is causing significant delays. approach from the south easier through Crieff and join A9 at Dunkeld- free run from there.

Newtonmore is an excellent base for a stay in the highlands.
Newtonmore is an excellent base for a stay in the highlands. Without the business of Aviemore easy access to the Highland Wildlife Park and Highland Folk Museum and if you feel the need for something to do that all ages can take part in there's the Wildcat Walking Tour. A selection of eating places but if fast food is your thing maybe not for you.

Lovely village to stay in for touring this area of Scotland.
Lovely village to stay in for touring this area of Scotland. Golf course and beautiful river side walks. Easy access to A9 for travelling further afield. The Glen Pub at the edge of the village is a must - very friendly welcome and service and stunning food. Co-op in the village for those needing groceries etc. on a self-catering holiday. If you stay in this area I recommend a visit to a fantastic coffee shop in Kincraig called The Post Office Cafe Gallery.
Chatted to the Manager on departure and explained that as a former QA Inspector for Visit Scotland, I was in a position to compare the standards of accommodation. My wife and I were very impressed with the Quality of Customer Care provided, particularly in the dining Room. all Staff we dealt with were very pleasant and attentive nad the service was first class. All plated food was serrved promptly to order and was piping hot and very well presented..
Hopefully we will make our 8th visit to the venue before the end of 2023.
Our stay was fantastic, the staff excellent, very helpful and friendly! The room was exactly as expected and very clean. Derek, the owner of the structure, answered politely and professionally to all our questions on the phone and when we arrived he remembered all our enquiries; in particular, we wanted to hire bikes (a service that the hotel doesn't offer) and upon check in a couple of bikes were already there with helmets and all the rest!
Thank you Derek and thank you OYO Braeriach Hotel for your wonderful service!
Room was clean and got cleaned every day. The hotel looks nice, we sadly didn't eat there for dinner- though I heard it's good. Lots of dear paintings and little details. The location around the hotel was also amazing and you can get to many lovely places with a car. Very friendly staff. We visited a bit out of session, so many other restaurants were not open but we still found places. There is a co-op right next to it and enough parking space opposite to the hotel

Easy to find, beautifully furnished and decorated, with fittings of a high standard. Excellent shower and wi-fi. The hosts go to a great deal of trouble to give the guests a special experience, especially with breakfast and the complimentary tea & cake. Newtonmore is a pleasant village with a convenient Co-op store and good pub (the Glen Hotel).
The hotel was located right in the city with reachability to main points, cafes, restaurants. It is located in the Cairngorns National park which means you're close to a lot of attractions. It is clean and tidy while being also small and cozy. We loved our beds and we had a very good nice sleep.
Great House, ideally situated for visiting Aviemore, Cairngorms, Highland Wildlife Park, or the various nearby lochs for a SUP,paddle or swim. 1 minutes walk from the shop or the closest of a few hotels and restaurants.
The house also has a lovely Japanese theme
Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also very convenient to the train station and restaurants and hiking in and around Newtonmore. We loved our stay!
Eric and Lynda are so nice and welcoming! They gave us great tips on things to do in the area and around Scotland. The room was very clean and they made us the best food we had on our entire trip! I would definitely recommend staying here!
NIce traditional building. Very nice personel. Perfect bar, nice restaurant. Good dinner. Fantastic breakfasts. Our room was spacious with very big and comfortable bed. Parking near the hotel.
The village looked very nice too.
Self catering, adequate accommodation for our family. Dougie was very helpful with all our needs and nothing was a problem to him. Great location for all activities nearby and surrounding areas within an hour's travel.
Excellent hotel, comfortable, spotless, food was wonderful. Location great, easy going to and fro to various venues. Kids had a ball going to landmark, Aviemore etc need to come back and see other things!
Beautiful location. Lovely conservatory with comfy couches. Wonderful hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast. Great setting for a getaway. Found a marker nearby saying it was the Centre of Scotland!
Definitely glad we stayed here instead of big hotel. It had a personal and homely feel at the same time it was very clean like a hotel. Marion and Graeme are excellent hosts.
Moira was the most amazing host. Breakfast was superb and best coffee so far in Scotland. The bath was the best for soaking after a long hike up Ben MacDui.
