The room was spacious with everything you might need. It had a view of the sea across the front forecourt. The quickest route to reception and the restaurant was via the car park, otherwise it was a bit of a rabbit warren through the corridors and stairs.
The food was very good quality and there was plenty of it, I struggled to leave room for dessert. The service in the restaurant was very efficient and the staff very friendly and attentive.
The hotel is a short walk from the beach and the town, and you don't have to walk up much of hill at at when returning.

This Grand Old Dame of English seaside hotels is in sparkling condition throughout. She is not cheap - but she is an excellent hostess and she will fulfil your every wish if you let her. Some may find her old fashioned - but that is a major part of her charm. From Martinis in the afternoon to sunsets over the sea in the evening, she has everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The sound of the waves playing us to sleep at through an open window was an added bonus!

Our flight was delayed so we arrived after the restaurant closed. The owner and his wife made us welcome, even though they had closed for the night. They very kindly opened a bottle of wine and made us a wonderful dinner. Throughout the stay their hospitality was amazing. The owner would not let us walk to the bus stop, instead he very kindly drove us all the way to Sidmouth in his own car! They really could not have done more for us!

Lovely, clean, decent property that is well located in the village.
Really great hosts, they were very welcoming and gracious, and were full of advice and suggestions on what to do and where to go. Dinner was very good, suggest eating in the hotel as the pricing was very good value for an excellent menu. Would definitely stay again!
