Very warm welcome upon arrival. My room was lovely and clean and I had a very good sleep. The breakfast was very nice, and it was great to see that veggie sausages were offered.

The location and the interior of the hotel was great. We managed to get a parking space and it was free.

So, looking at prior reviews I decided to book this on a whim. What I can say is that the surroundings are amazing. Located close to the city centre but far enough away to not be bothered by traffic flowing past. Plenty of parking spaces, beautiful hotel with an interesting history. Our room was fantastic, quiet and a great view of the tranquil gardens from the windows. We are coming back and hopefully sooner rather than later. Staff helpful and pleasant and the breakfast (we were out in the evenings) was perfect with plenty of choice. How this place has 3 stars I'll never know.
This 17th century inn is located in the beautiful village of Turvey, a quintessential English village just 10 miles (9.9 mi) west of Bedford and just a short drive from Northampton and Milton Keynes.
The hotel was in a perfect location, and my whole experience of staying there was exceptional. Everyone was so hospitable, from arranging an early check-in to chatting about the local area and giving advice on travel (it was extremely icy conditions, and they advised where to avoid driving). The hotel was spotless, quiet, and my room was spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.
Staff are very friendly, showed us around the pub/hotel and the room. The room was nicely laid out traditional furniture with some information and books about the village and the beds were comfortable. Honestly I couldn't find fault with it, we plan to stay here again when we're next in the area.
The hotel and pub is is nice and quaint. Jane went out of her way to make you feel welcome and has big plans to refit the hotel. Shame the restaurant wasn't open yet but the themed mobile caterers every night were a great alternative.
really helpful staff - both the manager and at the bar. Excellent private beer garden area for hotel guests. Lovely old old pub with loads of character. Ample offstreet parking.
The hotel was really clean and all staff were very friendly. The food both nights was really good value and nice. The room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable
Very comfortable bed and hot shower. Very quiet despite being on the road side of the hotel. Delightful and helpful staff. The bottled water was appreciated.
