The hotel owner was really lovely, fantastic customer service. She went out of her way to make sure I had a nice stay. Thank you! :)
Easy to find, right on the main road, plenty of parking. Nice dining room and communal sitting room area steeped in heritage and a sense of the history of the building and place.
Information on display about things to do in the area, and a fridge with packed lunch items for purchasing for travelers heading out on the road. (Glad I went down to visit Lybster's little hidden harbour, lighthouse and pebble beach cloaked by cliffs, well worth a visit!)
Room was quiet and warm, comfy bed, had a good night sleep, and a good shower in morning.

My son and I stayed at Forse of Nature for one night on our two week adventure around Scotland and we loved this stay the most of all our stays. The hosts were amazing, and gave us excellent suggestions for activities in the area that formed out to be some of the best of our trip. They were lovely!! It was quiet and peaceful there, and the cafe and gift shops added to the charm!!!

My stay at this Airbnb was truly delightful! The hosts went above and beyond by providing a complimentary breakfast cereal and some snacks. It was a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more enjoyable.

Take the walk down to the harbour. It is very scenic and we were lucky enough to see dolphins offshore. There is also a short path uphill from near the harbour which gives views down to the harbour and along the coast.

The area is very very rural.
The area is very very rural. Lybster does have one hotel where you can eat if required. The nearest town is Wick which is about 15 miles away. It has a Lidl and Tesco's. Truro is bigger (20 miles away) and has a better selection of eateries. You really do need to plan your meal times and where you will be throughout the day. It is 33 miles to go to John O'Groats which is the main attraction. Beautiful scenery and various hiking trails available. A ferry is also available to take you to Orkney Islands if required. Approx £90 for a car plus 2 pax ONE WAY.

Lybster has a lovely harbour where you can go for cliff top walks or enjoy a snack outside the Waterlines Museum which is also very much worth a visit. It also had a superb garden centre on the main street and a nine hole golf course. Its welcoming hotel provides good food. Glass Storms has beautiful work on display and for sale.

The harbour was a treat!
The harbour was a treat! The shop the Premier give cash back which was a big help. The pub the Commercial was friendly and so were the locals. We actual saw a picture of our Grandfather on the wall who died 40 years ago. Lots of history such as the road name Quatre Bras after the opening battle of Waterloo named in honour of General Sinclair's sons who fought there.
