Lovely cosy little flat, friendly accommodating host! We had a lovely 1 night stay in this spotlessly clean nicely designed flat. Games for the children to play. Chippy and a Chinese very close by. Would definitely stay here again, perfect for our needs as a family with children. The photos don't do this property justice.

Really friendly locals that were a real asset to the town.
Really friendly locals that were a real asset to the town. There aren't any taxis readily available in the area (which we didn't know about). I'd recommend calling the hotel a week in advance to see if they could coordinate taxis, if you need them.

Beautiful countryside.
Beautiful countryside. Not a lot to do in the village but we find our own entertainment. There are a couple of lovely pubs and cafe.
The Church is very interesting, there are lovely walks and the Workhouse is an interesting visit.
The local people are very friendly. We met a retired history teacher who made our visit to the church come alive with his stories. Thank you.

The Village is quite small but the visit to the Original Workhouse which is 5 minutes down the road is well worth visiting. If you do visit the workhouse there is a room with a video showing and explaining how it was used which really is a must see to understand the original working of it.

It was a great hotel in the centre of the village , a few shops but a great base as we were able to visit a few different places like Powis castle , lake Vyrnwy , the food at the hotel was so good that we tended to stay there for the evening and there were lots of people coming in and out of the hotel so a good atmosphere was had, there was also parking at the back of hotel which was free and that is always a bonus, I would definitely recommend the place as u won’t be disappointed, happy holidays

Loved the town quaint and full of history.
Loved the town quaint and full of history. The old workhouse is worth a visit as is the well which I was told was the place of the first ever baptism in the area. The walks in the Autumn are breathtaking. Went to " Spice Fusion" in Welshpool for a superb Indian meal.
Lovely friendly hotel with astonishing history and beauty. We were made welcome from the second we walked in to the second we walked out. The locals were as friendly as the staff and gave us some great insider knowledge of the area. Food was superb both in the evening and at breakfast. The welsh lamb steaks were to die for and the fish pie was the best we ever had. It was definitely not dry !! Rooms were clean spacious and very comfortable. You would struggle to find a better hotel in this area.
Beautiful location in a lovely part of Cymru. The hotel was beyond expectations and the room we were allocated was enormous. We arrived and met up with other members of our family who were as equally impressed as we were. We enjoyed a lovely family evening meal which was cooked to perfection with understanding and courteous staff in attendance. Breakfast did not disappoint either. Well done and thank you to all the staff from the bar to the dining room.
This is a really lovely, friendly hotel to stay in. The staff couldn't have looked after us any better - they were fantastic. Fresh flowers inn all of the public spaces, great food (and plenty of it) at very reasonable prices and dinks were good value too. The room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. If you want a stay in a historic hotel with great charm you'd find it hard to beat this one!
Llanfyllin is a very pleasant village. It has a couple of good pubs and a choice of eating places. The Old New Inn has a good choice of beer and the owner and bar staff are very friendly, helpful and welcomimg. I had a meal there which was freshly cooked and tasty at a reasonable price. My room was basic but clean and comfortable, especially the bed.
The location was ideal to explore this part of mid-Wales and the hotel was right in the middle if the town.
Dayle the chef did just about everything with a cheerful smile, from check in and out, carried luggage, cooked an excellent breakfast and a tasty and fast dinner. He was a standout...
Absolutely beautiful location, and Matt and Teresa were amazing hosts. We loved getting our breakfasts from the on-site shop and being greeted by the farm cats every morning! The locals in Llanfyllin and Llanfihangel were lovely people who welcomed us into their community as well.
Friendly and supportive staff, required an extra bed and it wasn't too much trouble. Breakfast included was lovely too. Prices for the bar were so cheap yet the quality was high. Everyone knows each other beautiful hotel in an equally beautiful small town.
HOW CLOSE WE WAS TO MINE EVENT AT LLANFYLLIN WORKHOUSE,RIGHT NEAR THE SHOP PUB AND FISH AND CHIPSHOP IT WAS LOVELY OF THEM TO GET US SO MILK SO WE COULD HAVE A CUP TEA AFTER OUR LONG DRIVE
ALSO HAVE TEA BAGS COFFEE SUGER AND SOME OTHER THINGS THERE
A well located and roomy hotel. Clean and well run. Staff all very helpful and welcoming. Rooms large. Linen was good, with good towels. Breakfast was excellent. Bar was reasonably priced, and had a good choice of drinks.
