Pretty town of Llandeilo. The Cawdor is highly rated. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had to leave early, so they opened up breakfast for us earlier. Not many hotels would do so.

Most has been said - the stunning view from the kitchen, the facilities, spacious rooms, cleanliness and attention to detail. Plus Hilltop is just a couple of minutes' walk from the centre of Llandeilo which is great when you are only there for a couple of days. PLUS, an important consideration for us is to have a secure environment for our 2 small dogs. Hilltop fulfilled this and it was a joy to see the dogs scamper down the steps and play ball on the grassy area below. We have booked another (longer) stay at Hilltop later this year as Llandeilo is such a central location that the surrounding areas are within easy driving (or walking) distance.

Not being a 100% sure on what to expect, I bought a small fresh loaf and butter from the bakers in Llandeilo, but the host provided a fine continental breakfast with extra items also, which would've been fine for me.
I was certainly made welcome by the host.
Lovely clean & comfortable, quiet house, with WIFI and TV, and parking available.
My collie was also made very welcome.
The location was perfect for the Brecon Beacons, and the small town of Llandeilo only a mile away had all the amenities I could wish for.

A good, comfortable country inn, and a great place to stay if you want to visit the National Trust Dinefwr Castle, and/or Aberglasney Gardens. The Dinefwr estate is an easy walk from the pub. We checked in mid-afternoon, had a quick pint, and then spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening exploring the castle and surrounding estate on foot. And were still back in time for a delicious evening meal. Aberglasney Gardens is also very close by...a 10-15 min drive. The inn itself was attractive and welcoming. Our room was medium size and well appointed. Food and drinks were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
The Mews, Talley offers accommodations in Llandeilo, 30 miles from WWT Llanelli and 5.6 miles from Dinefwr Castle. There's a picnic area and guests can use free Wifi and free private parking.

Like many of the previous guests who signed the Visitors' book, my daughter and I were sorry not to be staying for longer! It's a beautiful place,
with a lovely homely feel to it, but also decorated and equipped with excellent taste. We didn't have occasion to use the kitchen but could see that it was well-equipped and would be great to use. We hope to come back!

Llandeilo is a lovely market town, set on a hill with the majestic River Towy below, meandering West to Carmarthen. There are many places to eat from a quick snack to à la carte meals. It is reasonably easy to walk around the town, where you'll find many interesting shops. You might be surprised what you find at Peppercorn, Barr & Co, Rig Out Boutique, Toast, Mari Thomas Jewellery, The little Welsh Dresser, to name a few. We love it ... and would live there if the house we fancied hadn't been sold the day before we saw it. But we visit from afar every 2-3 months. Walkable with interesting shops, especially the craft shop and gallery with the work of many local artists and craftspeople. Provision & Pitchfork is a great stop for deli supplies & excellent breads, as well as snacky meals and good coffee. For garden lovers, nearby Aberglasney Gardens is a must visit.

Location, about 1 mile from town centre (uphill and downhill) pleasant walk passed entrance to Dinefwr Castle. Ruined Norman castle overlooking the River Tywi magnificent viewpoint able to climb ramparts to have best views entrance to castle is free but parking at National Trust carpark only free to members. There is a deer park and woodland walks with a boardwalk to a secluded lake. Also a NT house which we have not visited due to time pressure on us.
The views from town centre 'valley-side' back streets also impressive.

The Cawdor is in a brilliant location in the middle of Llandeilo. You are able to leave your car in the free secure car park, and easily walk around town to explore the many local shops, some of which have artisan products. Llandeilo is also a great base from which to discover Carmarthenshire. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were greeted as we walked into breakfast (which is always nice) and our order was taken efficiently. We had the full Welsh breakfast, which was delicious and very filling.
Lovely spacious family room with very good facilities. Rooms equipped with fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, plates, cutlery, coffee, tea and milk.
The fridge was stocked with orange juice, water and milk. Plus some yogurts to enjoy.
The breakfast is continental which is self service. We chose to have some toast and croissants in our room, but you could use the kitchen facilities.
Llandeilo 15 minutes by foot.
Great location, just a short drive to the nearby village with lots to do. Huge garden area with a cosy BBQ hut. Lots of amenities supplied (wooden skewers to roast marshmallows. Coal, firelighters, wood and matches to start the BBQ. Tea, coffee, sugar as well as lots of condiments. There was lots of cooking equipment (toaster, air fryer, toasty maker) making it very easy to cook; it was like everything had been thought about!!
This house was larger than expected settled between lovely towns and country sides. Very well equipped and a nice welcome package. Owner is super nice and easy to contact. Nive ammendities for adults and children even on rainy days. I enjoyed not having to supply our own towels, pillows and bedding. Also enjoyed the outdoor space. Wifi was good for us. We would stay here again.
The location was prime! We were literally in the middle of the village, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the park, grocery stores, parking, and pubs. The flat is adorably decorated and has everything you might need. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was lovely. The rooms were spacious. There were many suggestions for activities and things to see and do.
The room was clean and comfortable. We were at the front of the hotel which was a bit noisy early in the morning but the traffic was very light at night so we had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order. We ate in the restaurant in the evenings and the food was excellent and again plentiful. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Excellent quality accommodation, refurbed to a very high contemporary standard. Everything you need for a short stay. Short walk from Llandeilo Town centre and a good base to visit Llandovery (20min drive) and Lampeter (35min drive). Pleasant small towns. Carreg Cennen castle worth a visit for stunning views, a short walk steep walk from the castle car park.
Lovely Bach in a beautiful area tucked away on a working farm. Bats and birds around
Parking right next to door, safe parking, and easy for offloading.
The hut was very well stocked and left with breakfast basics - we enjoyed our free-range eggs.
Warm and cosy with a comfortable bed and lovely hot shower
10/10, we will be back x
A beautiful stone cottage, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. I imagine it would be ideal at any time of year with its underfloor heating, log burners and also the garden.
An excellent location for exploring a less well-known area of Wales.
Gorgeous location with plenty of parking spaces. The staff was absolutely amazing, so incredibly friendly and accommodating. And the food was one of the best ones we’ve had in a while, with locally sourced ingredients and vegetarian options. Thank you Narelle and the entire team!
Lovely space. Amazing breakfast! Mary went out of her way to help out. She offered tips for days out, provided a form to fill in for breakfast each day and was accommodating in every way possible. Great location to pubs & restaurants, as well as local hiking.
The space was great, comfortable sitting room and beds, very clean. Area is quiet. The plough restaurant is awesome, service and food was great. We rent a property every year (15 years) this is up there as one if the best, points above are minor.
The perfect location fir Walking the Heart of Wales Trail. Opposite a near perfect pub, across a lovely valley and grade 2 listed bridge made a walk into Town a real pleasure.
We have just come back after spending a few days in The plough Inn. The hotel was clean and very well decorated. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The food was exceptional.
Spacious family room. Lots of parking. Very close to Llandeilo.
Staff show you to room and offered to help with luggage.
Most rooms away from bar area, so quiet.
