Y Talbot is full of charm and character. At the same time it offers excellent modern comfortable and quiet accommodation. The location is conveniently right in the centre of Tregaron. My purpose in visiting was to spend as much time as possible at the nearby Cors Garon Nature Reserve. The owners are very accommodating, letting guests have 24 hour access to the hotel and serving breakfast up till 10am. Both these facilities were really important for me. The staff on breakfast were charming and helpful. I like the fact that the owners are resident and actively manage the hotel

the location was excellent for my needs and the breakfast was decent enough for me. The room was an adequate size for what I needed for a 1 night stay on my own and it was excellent value for the money

We were four adults and four kids ages between 6-12 and we stayed for 4 nights during weekdays. Steve, the owner, was very prompt when asked questions and the facilities were great. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We traveled daily out of the area for about a hour or more drive to explore the southern section of Snowdonia in the north, New quay in the west and Silver mountain experience in the south. We didn't miss an amazing hike to the falls of Brecon Beacons national park. All in all an amazing time throughout.

Me and my group of friends had a great stay in Blaentwrch Farmhouse in Ffarmers (Llanddewi-Brefi). The area is very remote so there are not any shops or services nearby, so be prepared for a fairly lengthy car journey just to get to a supermarket (~35 mins). There is one pub in Ffarmers but from the Google street view it looked a bit too scary to enter :D
