We stayed as an over stop whilst cycling the king Alfred Way as the pub is right on the route. The room was comfortable and clean and the food was good and we were able to leave our bikes in their secure cycle store.

We stayed in the Wren room, which had the best bathtub I think I have every enjoyed. The inn keepers were extraordinarily friendly and made us feel right at home. The Nest is conveniently located a short distance from the South Downs Way.

Another great stay, this time my sister and myself were visiting our father in a nursing home in Chichester, ideal as we could have rooms nearby.

Great decor, comfy beds and a really quaint, quirky stay. Rooms were very clean, and snacks available in the room (for a charge). Easy to check in and out, and a lovely breaksfast the next morning,

Beautifully appointed with incredibly fast responses from host for all sorts of questions. Bed superb. Really comfortable and the most exquisite breakfast presented with love and attention. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again soon. Truly a cabin perfected with love

Liss is small but has a couple of small supermarkets, bakers, DIY, dentist, doctor, chemist, takeaways and a fantastic cafe called the Turtle Bean. It's about an hour and ten mins to London on the train.

Lovely village and very peaceful.
Lovely village and very peaceful. We were there for a family wedding in nearby hillage so limited time for visit.
Food at the Jolly Drover was extremely good and the staff very helpful and friendly
This old pub is situated bang on the King Alfred’s Way immediately after the climb up from Liss. There is a shed to safely and securely store bikes overnight. It’s run by a very friendly smiley couple. Nice beer garden. Large spacious restaurant that serves good wholesome food. The girl that checked us in and appeared to run the restaurant was excellent - professional and confident. Good full English breakfast available.
I booked it for my family and anoither couple. They were very complementary of the place and well pleased. They especially appreciated the friendlness and helpfulness of the staff. (You were a hit Sharon!). The breakfast was great!
As I live in Liss, it was very convenient for me to be with them and pick them up for outings.
I will recommend the Jolly Drover....
Food was lovely, for dinner and breakfast. Atmosphere good in the bar and lucky to be staying when they had an acoustic singer in 😀 bed very comfortable 😀 plenty of milk in the room for tea, which was a bonus as most hotel rooms have a basic amount. Bottles of water and biscuits also provided in the room. Good shower and room had everything we needed.
Stayed at the Jolly Drover for a society golf match at nearby Petersfield G.C. Friendly and efficient staff, particularly the breakfast team. Had one dinner and two breakfasts and all were excellent. Rooms clean and well equipped. Rainforest shower was great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area.
Great little pub in a quiet country area. The meals were lovely and the room cost included a full breakfast. The bar is small but very comfortable with a good range of ales and standard beers. Very nice afternoon and evening spent at the hotel
Lovely family run inn, very friendly attentive staff, amazing food, great outdoor seating, far in front of the big hotels I usually stay in. And yes, state of the art wifi despite being rather off track.
The staff were excellent and always happy to help. Good choices for food and breakfast, and I actually had a good nights sleep in a hotel which is not normal for me.
