The site I was here to work on was stood down for a few days in the middle of my stay. They staff at the White Pheasant have been extremely helpful in both getting me a refund for an unused night and rebooking other unused nights.

We were self catering. Location was good, easy to get to other local villagers and only about 50 mins to coast.

Only stopped overnight for a function the following day at a neighboring village. Didn't see anything of Lenwade itself.
Ate in the restaurant at the White Pheasant, where we stayed. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would recommend it to others.

It is a big property but wheelchair friendly.
It is a big property but wheelchair friendly. There is an enormous off road car park with walks around the grounds. Secluded and quiet. All the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. We would have loved to have eaten there looking at what was on offer but sadly were unable to.

If they do their planned refurbishment then it should be a great place to stay. As it is, no. The friendliness if the proprietor helped. Breakfast was a rip-off, and the eggs royale I had were horrible, slathered in sauce from a jar - could taste it all morning! They charge for tea or coffee with breakfast - a tiny pot. Some imagination in the kitchen and real cooking would be good. My next night at the King’s Head in North Elmham could teach thohow to do things.

Lenwade being fairly central within Norfolk was a great base for sight seeing. The roads are good and we’re quiet when we stayed. Lenwade had a small convenience store a couple of good food pubs and a petrol station.
The hotel is a little dated and tired, but the rooms have been refurbished, the staff were excellent and the cook was 5 star. Room service was excellent everything you needed was supplied and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Very peaceful and quiet location with excellent large grounds especially for dogs. It is a large hunting lodge that just needs some TLC . Very good value for money.
*ROOM 31* The setting of the hotel is fantastic ad the grounds are well kept, the hotel itself though could use some updating, although the room had all the amenities you need, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/bottles of water, hair dryer etc.
The staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was adequate, i had pancakes with bacon and syrup - delicious, My partner had a full English, again, very nice.
The hotel has got the basics down perfectly
Great coffee, great breakfasts, the shower is superb and very hot! and even though it’s a dog friendly hotel is doesn’t smell doggy - it’s clean
I would definitely stay here again
The hotel setting is beautiful and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of ducks and to see the squirrels and pigeons amongst the trees
Hotel looked Beautiful all lit up at night. The grounds were lovely plenty of parking also. The bar/restaurant was very welcoming with a log fire lit. The young barman/waiter was a perfect host (only staff member we saw). Our room was clean to a high standard and plenty of information in the folder.
Very clean and comfortable room. Dinner was tasty and plentiful, the staff were very friendly. Our dog was made welcome everywhere in the hotel, with good dog walking footpath indicated.
Cooked breakfast was good but no cereal or juice offered, although I guess we could have asked for it!
The hotel was conveniently located for our walk along Marriotts Way.
The room was clean and dogs were welcomed.
Our evening meal was really delicious and excellent value. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast and the evening meal we had were really good. Beautiful daffodil filled grounds with muntjac deer running through. We were cycling Marriott's Way and this hotel is half way along - ideal for 2 days' outings.
Location perfect for our visit. Breakfast excellent. We found the hotel to be a little run down and in need of some renovation, but understand this may have already started in a different part of the hotel.
A really friendly, comfortable and well-appointed hotel with a nice bar and excellent full English breakfast (though I also had food envy due to my companions' eggs benedict).
