We loved our stay, very comfy beds/rooms, the bar area was lovely, we sat next to the real fire and had dinner, perfect end to the day after a long walk.
Breakfast was also very nice, good selection of food and quick friendly service.
Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells.
Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have private bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities.

Comfortable interiors, fab location- bus stops outside, delicious food, friendly and attentive staff especially the kind South African guy who checked me in when I booked last minute and v late on Monday night.
Located on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar.

The food was the absolute best on the entire trip. The building is old with a lot of history but newly renovated with comfortable, modern fixtures and furnishings. The bed was very comfortable with high end linens. Hotel caters nicely to walkers with a special drying room for boots and outer gear and plenty of hooks in the room for all of your gear. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The Kings Head was the perfect choice of venue to spend my big birthday with my family. The staff made our stay very special. They were accommodating and very willing to ensure our satisfaction through our entire stay. Thank you very much Peter and all of your staff.

The location of the Lodge in the Vale was excellent - just off a secondary road and not too noisy.
Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable although another member of staff would have helped in busy times thus lessening the wait in the coffee shop.
All round a good stay with plenty for walkers and an easy bus ride into Keswick or Windermere.
Market day is a Wednesday so parking is a little difficult.

We loved the hotel .
We loved the hotel . The staff go out of their way to help with any problems. We found the choice of food fantastic at breakfast and of good quality. The evening meal was equally good (above average quality) and reasonably priced.

The Lodge is a basic overnight stay but there is no where comfortable to relax for a longer stay. The staff are very helpful but they are limited by their resources staff wise. It is fair value for money and clean. Rather too near an A road with noisy traffic until late at night. The internet was disconnected after 9.30pm

Legburthwaite was ideal for us as we know the Lake District well and it was convenient for getting to different parts of the Lakes by bus or by car. For hillwalkers it is ideally situated for immediate access to the Helvellyn range of hills. It is also well placed to the North Lakes and to Borrowdale and the North Western fells. Keswick is a 15 minute drive 30 minutes by bus( buses stop outside the hotel). From Keswick boat trips are available on Derwentwater.
