Very nice place and the hostess was 5* . Last minute booking after a bad experience at another place, arrived here to a very friendly hostess and a super clean and tidy place with everything we'd need. Fresh milk, coffee, cereals and some nice touch playing card. Thanks for the stay, it was a really nice experience! Will recommend delicious shortbread

Acarsaid B&B, hotel in Latheron

Located in Lybster in the Highlands Region, 35 km from Thurso, Acarsaid B&B features a sun terrace and views of the garden. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site.

We were met outside by James who took us to our room and explained the services on offer. We had already booked a table at The Bay restaurant, so did not need food. However when we returned, we very much enjoyed the Whisky and Gin taster boards and played a card game in the Lounge. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the décor and facilities. The cooked breakfast was exceptional by using local produce which added to the taste. This is how B&B's should be run. Well done James & Kirsty a well deserved 10 out of 10.

It was a home away from home, it had everything you would need and then things you thought you would not need but needed. Honestly one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The views were amazing even on the misty days.

Amazing and sincere welcome. We're hiking and arrived a bit dishevelled; the owners agreed to take us to the nearby shop which was so kind. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, warm and cosy. There is a lovely area to sit outside with firepit, but having hiked for 8 hours we stayed inside this lovely place and cooked a nice meal. As I say, very well-equipped; there was nothing we didn't need. Ensuite is great and the beds comfortable. Totally recommend.

The little harbour is really lovely. We drove to Lybster for dinner at the Portland Arms hotel, excellent! Very easy to get around Latheron and plenty of parking. Would stay 2 nights and not just 1.

Lovely little place with a lovely harbour and fairy walk, one of the highlights of our trip! Would definitely recommend and my 11 year old son loved it the most, stopping to take pictures of all the fairy houses. Just magical.

The general area is beautiful, with tons of Sottish history, gorgeous seaside views, lovely farms, old ruins, and truly delicious food. We liked the area so well, we went back for an extra afternoon, so don't make the mistake of just zooming on through!
