The staff were exceptionally helpful, as we got lost on the way there and they guided us over the phone despite it being nearly midnight. Very grateful!

The building itself was so quaint. There were 3 rooms above the pub. Our room was so cute. Very clean and comfortable. We had dinner downstairs at the pub and the food was excellent. The waiter was very friendly.

This is a gorgeous village pub in what is clearly a very old building, full of charm and character. The staff were so, so lovely; nothing was too much trouble (not that we needed to call on them much). The room was quiet, a lovely temperature, bright, and airy. The bed was perfectly comfortable - maybe not as firm as I might like (and everyone's preference varies, of course), but hardly saggy. The food is standard pub grub, largely, but it is very good standard pub grub. The restaurant area is nicely shielded from the noise of the pub, which is welcome if you want to have a quieter conversation.

The staff was engaging and wonderful! I loved that every meal had a vegan / vegetarian option. It was quiet, but clearly a place where locals gather. I look forward to staying there again!

If there is no air conditioning in the room, there should be fans available for ALL rooms in the event of hot weather. Room was unbearably hot. Sleep was scarce as a result.
The rest of the stay was very good.

The location provided easy access to some of the sacred sites around the area, we drove to the Uffingham horse then walked to Wayland Smithy, before driving back south to Avebury and then home. The hotel was clean well cared for and the cost was incredibly cheaper than we expected. Thank you
Exceptional, friendly & helpful guy on reception. The room was exactly as required, very comfortable, great value. Easy parking. Restaurant for breakfast etc next door. Will definitely use this hotel again. Very convenient for M4. Would recommend getting instructions for getting to the hotel in advance if travelling eastbound on M4 as the hotel is on the westbound side of M4 - not a problem, it's very easy when you know how! Use the same route to cross back over to continue travelling eastbound.
The hotel is designed as a stopover for travellers along the M4, so the surrounding facilities are limited to those of a (quite decent) motorway service station. The rooms and public areas were clean and recently upgraded, although the bathroom was tired and the sofa bed needed recovering. The reception area was cheerful and offered a good selection of snacks and drinks. The receptionist was friendly and super helpful, even giving us a hand with our heavy suitcase.
A nice, surprisingly quiet hotel given the circumstances (near a busy motorway and a shopping center). The room and the bathroom were of good quality, clean and spacious, featuring all I needed including an electric kettle (and free coffee, tea bags, and little milk 'pots") and even a hairdryer. The mattress was VERY comfortable. I had a good rest in that hotel thus I can recommend it to others.
The hotel is clean and comfortable with everything you need. When we first arrived Sam the manager instantly made us feel at home and has made our stay enjoyable, also she went out of her way to make sure we was okay! All the staff are friendly and very approachable, so don’t hesitate to ask for anything! Will definitely stay again :)
The guest service I received from the night porter Alwin De Melo was exceptional. From the way he directed me into the hotel as I was traveling Eastbound to advising how to leave in the morning was brilliant. A credit to your hotel
I've stayed here before as this hotel is on the M4 services and perfect for a good night's sleep if you need to break up your journey. No frills, but perfectly comfortable.
So convenient on our long drive to Cornwall . I’m service station so just so easy and wastes no time . Excellent basic accommodation for the budget hotel . Super comfy beds
The recptionist on duty was awesome. The rooms are as expected for this type of hotels. It would be nice to have a plug near the bed. Everything was clean and tidy.
