The room was fine, bed comfortable, good shower. Hotel was peaceful, staff very nice. Tv worked fine, internet signal not strong any part of the hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory, not a wide range but everything tasted good. Coffee was not strong enough.

Brand new bathroom! Place was clean and comfortable. Classic bar experience, made a very good recommendation for a local whiskey

This is a huge hotel with every room looking out over the Firth of Forth toward Edinburgh. It felt like a seaside resort. There were a lot of families of all ages yet it was quiet and didn’t seem busy. Our deluxe room had a small living room with sofa, desk and chairs, and balcony. Our balcony was tiny with only one chair because we were on the outermost edge but we were happy with the room location because it was quiet. A tea kettle, instant coffee, teas, and biscuits were provided. The bedroom was in a loft up a set of stairs. The loft also had floor to ceiling views but no balcony. The view was amazing.
The hotel amenities included a pool, hot tub, sauna, snooker tables, arcade and game room. Warning, the pool’s last entry is 8 pm. We didn’t realize this and came a little late but since we were just using the sauna, the attendant let us in for the final half hour. In addition to these areas, there was also a common area with comfy chairs where you could enjoy the view and there were two terraces.
The Horizons restaurant is huge. I’m not sure why we needed a reservation. There’s lots of tables by the windows and there is a huge bar lounge area that served food also. The bar had an excellent selection of Scottish gins and whiskies. The dinner was good—I had the special which was a chicken pie and it was good. Breakfast included a cold service buffet and Scottish breakfast off the menu.
The staff throughout the hotel, bar and restaurant all very helpful and friendly.

The staff was wonderful. The rooms have been updated and feel like a high end hotel in a historic building. There is parking on-site.
Downstairs is a wonderful restaurant with Indian and Nepalese food. The staff treated us as if we were in a high end restaurant with hot towels and chocolate. There were typical Indian dishes on the menus, but we asked for recommendations for food from Nepal. The servers were happy to give us recommendations and the food was wonderful.

When I brought an issue with my dinner to their attention the staff didn't quibble but immediately removed the item from by bill and offered an alternative or replacement.

We were there to attend an event and to conduct some family history research in the excellent facilities provided by Kirkcaldy Library and Museum. The town itself is looking good, certainly in the area round Victoria Road.

Kirkcaldy is a good place for access to Edinburgh, Fife and The East Neuk. It has its own charm, but the town centre is quite run down. Take the bus to the nearby beaches, or right up to the beautiful villages of East Neuk. There are a couple of good curry houses on the High Street, I liked The Prince especially. The older streets away from the High Street and the Parks are quite lovely, and the museum and gallery are good.

Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel.
Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel. This was a hidden gem as the pictures on display were very good as was the museum which had sections dedicated to the past linoleum industry and mining communities. Fascinating.
Kirkcaldy has a full range of shops available as well as a modernised sea promenade.
All in all found Kirkcaldy a very enjoyable place to visit and wished we had spent more time there!

The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals.
The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals. Ask at your hotel how to see them. Need to be able to walk about 20 mins. They are nearly always there . Easy to get train in and out of Edinburgh. If you like walking or biking. Fife coastal path is lovely. Can walk between stations and get train back

We came to visit Kirkcaldy gallery for the Vettriano exhibition. The gallery was lovely with a cafe with decent coffee, museum and gallery shop. We had travelled from Glastonbury for this exhibition and stopped in York on the way up. Kirkcaldy is not very pretty overall, the seafront felt quite industrial but we found a good fish and chips shop called Rinaldis and all the local people were friendly.
The hotel was very clean. Restaurant was good, the menu was adequate, and the portions were more than ample. The breakfast was so much that I could not eat it all.
The room was small, but clean and had all I would need for a couple of nights. The inside of the hotel was quite ornate with a stairwell and hall/lobby that matched the age of the building.
The locattion was good, only a few minutes from Kirkcaldy centre.
The hotel is located a short distance from Kirkcaldy rail station which is the main reason I decided to stay there. The town centre and art gallery were also not to far away. The staff were helpful when I arrived early and asked if my room could be available a little sooner than the advertised check in time. The breakfast offered a range of food including a wide range of cooked items.
The staff were absolutely amazing, accommodating and sweet. Restaurant was amazing, can’t say enough good things about it. Carpets were so thick you never heard anyone in the hallways, North American hotels take note! Perfect hotel to visit Edinburgh, 1/2 hour train ride to get away from the hustle bustle.
I was so impressed with the Victoria Hotel, from the friendly reception staff and bar and restaurant staff to the exceptionally clean rooms, comfortable beds, great shower and breakfast. The Victoria offers great value for money accommodation and is well located within Kirkcaldy.
The hotel/pub/restaurant is run with passion and love which was a great experience walking in. The room beautiful clean, large room, can’t fault it also very comfortable bed’s didn’t want to get up. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch with great options.

The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing for dinner and cooked breakfast. nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a beautiful setting right on the Golf course. The hotel isn’t far from the centre of Kirkcaldy, beautiful for walks.
Despite booking the hotel for a work trip a cooked breakfast would have been the icing the cake. The team very kindly offered us a Bacon roll, which was great, but a full Scottish cooked would have been excellent
Cozy hotel, very clean. The rooms are brand new, the cleaning service is excellent. The building architecture is amazing on the inside. The staff is polite and helpful. Plenty of parking opportunities.
