We most enjoyed our visit to the little township of Tain and it's museum and ancient church, once a place of pilgrimage. One of the volunteer guides was a wonderful and knowledgeable raconteur. He is a highlight of our trip to Scotland. A visit to the Glenmorangie Distillery is worthwhile. While you're there find out about the project (DEEP) to reintroduce native oysters to the estuary. The information booth has lots of material aimed for children.
